Quotation.

"Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day." -Sally Kock-

Sometimes I wonder if it is necessary for others to know what and how we helped others. Because sometimes I can feel that I have to justify all my actions even if it's just a little act of kindness. Honestly, I always feel shy to say the kindness I have done for others and the reason for this is something I myself cannot understand why. I'm really very sorry if I don't know why I'm shy, maybe bec

My grandfather

My grandfatherMy grandfather went off when I was only five years old, but he always lives in my heart. He was a teacher in elementary school, and also the principal. He used to take me to school with his bicycle so that I was very interested in school life even when I was still too young to study in school. I was afraid of my grandfather because he was very strict in me after I was enrolled in school. Once, my grandfather was very angry and confined me in his room for the whole day, when he was t

my first essay

Have you ever been happy and sad at the same time? It is normal in real life. ‎I have experienced that once, I can't forget what happened that day. Every ‎day, my grandma encouraged me "you are a successful girl and I wait your ‎graduation". Today, my grandma passed away. At this moment, I ‎remembered her smiles when she said' you're the best". My graduation day ‎was a strange day that mixed between happiness and sadness.‎Long years ago, when I graduated from high school, I remembered all ‎detai

Why English?

Why is it important to learn English? Why does it seem English is spoken everywhere?I gave those questions very serious thought, and even asked other people. I forgot who suggested it, but the idea that the British had a worldwide empire certainly contributed to the fact that English is nearly universal. But even though the British Empire began to fade after World War II, it is still an important language, and it is still spoken in its former colonies. This story will introduce yet another reason

Difference!

Do you know the difference between the sky and the heavens, between heaven and earth, between the air that we breath and the air that we feel, between right and wrong, between bright and dark, between happy and sad, between each other, between men and women, between an excellent idea and a devastating one?The attributes which give contrasting directions are just like dissimilar notes in a song!Couldn't we just submerge our differences and gather the wonderful thoughts you and I can make together?-Lynne

Time... as a tool

My days seem to be shorter by this time of year. I don't like that, but now I have a good reason to accept it: My EC. There's so much to see and to do that I just lose track of time. There's so much to learn and so many chances to make friends that time flies past in a wink.

But... I don't blame myself. It's all worth. By the way, I just got an interesting quotation by John F. Kennedy which says:
"We must use time as a tool, not as a crutch."

So that's it. I am making the most of my free time. And

Impressive story

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being. She said, "Hi handsome. My name is Rose I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?" I laughed and enthusiastically responded, "Of course you may!" and she gave me a giant squeeze."Why are you in
