Speaking in English - a need of needy

Does English need us or do we need English? The answer is clear as crystal. If we don’t have the need of English, what we are doing in MyEC?

English is the language of the hour. It is not a language of a particular place or a group of people anymore; it has become a global language. The need of English could not limit to a particular purpose. It communicates within different people who are having exclusive ideas, thoughts and cultures. English is playing a v

Do you add images to your blog posts? Images attract the interest of your readers and make your posts more memorable. It is also useful to have images in your presentations.

Finding images that you have permission to use can be tricky. It is illegal to copy and paste pictures from the Internet if they are not in the public domain. I prefer to use my own images. I know I have permission to use them. Occasionally I don't have a good picture to use for a blog post. I subscribe to a clipart site tha

What is the difference between "hear" and "listen"? Check out English Club's NEW lesson on Hear or Listen. Don't forget to try the hear or listen quiz. After you read the lesson and try the quiz, come back and tell me the difference between these sentences:

1. I hear a marching band.
2. I'm listening to a marching band.

Libya’s transitional government forces took control of Sirte, Gaddafi’s last stronghold, as the former leader of Libya was captured and killed. Young fighters reportedly found the wounded dictator hiding in a drainage pipe in his hometown. Evidence suggests Gaddafi was wounded by an airstrike and then executed by his captors before being placed on public view in a cold storage facility. The bodies of at least 150 Gaddafi supporters were found in Sirte, including 53 at an abandoned hotel. Many at

2346307970?profile=originalA few days ago I decided to watch a movie I heard about a while ago. Something I knew that would touch me deeply. So it took me a long time before deciding that it was time for me to see it. I put the dvd in my computer and was taken away from reality for more than one hour. While watching that film, as a belgian, I didn't feel confortable at all as I believe that, the United Nations troups and among them Belgians could have done more to save Tutsi. But as always, it's all a matter of politics..

First, welcome to myself! I hope to learn together and share each other our experiences.

As many people, I was searching on a site which I could keep improving my English language. Once, I was searching on Twitter about something or someone that could guide me to what I'm looking for. I found this club. I found Tara's account too. I followed them and I sometimes read things which have been shared by them. I was attracted by Tara's way in teaching English. Then, I followed her in Google+. Final

A Person You Admire

Admiration comes from positive sides of good personality. In other words, every person would be fond of special qualities and big qualifications of a good person. Basically, the person whom I admire is that who has the following qualties: faithfulness, ambition, and self- control.

First of all, faithfulness means to be faithful in the field of work and in the social field. For example,a doctor who puts his moral duty before the financial interest.Besides, a teacher who tries to teach skillfully and acu

Jordanian Women Calling for Respect

2346307622?profile=original

In Jordanian Culture we have so many bad traditions. One of them is calling women by what they are,  not by who they are. For example:

Tariq: what is your woman’s job?

Daniel: My woman works for the government.

Daniel: my wife is a good woman; she cooks, cleans up the house, takes care of the children and never sleeps before I do.

Tariq: what is your wife’s name?

Daniel: what?  What did u say?!! How dare you. Wait for me; I will kill you!!!!!!

Learning From Others

Is it better for people to learn from others than to learn on their own?

In my opinion learning from others have many advantages over learning for yourself. People should learn to use the experience of others and trust it; nowadays there are too much things to learn. On the other hand when people have learned something on their very own they are liable to be too self-confident and thus may cause mistakes. Moreover, complicated information sometimes is difficult to understand and obtain when you
