The other day it was brought up in EC chat that shall is used in asking permission. At that moment I thought about it for a minute and said I didn't think shall was ever used in a question for permission. This lead me to look into it further and I found my thinking was correct. I could find no examples of shall being used in this way. So where did they get this idea from? It was from the construction such as: Shall I open a window?.
At first glance I can see how this is taken as asking someone f
I have so many talented idol-singers, which i end up listen to their songs almost everday repeatedly. For me to listen a song is not so much needed to be specifically expert on something, for example understanding lyrics and such things, but it's simply trying to listen to its song and i don't know why i feel so excited suddenly with the tone, lyrics , voice ,etc if i know and like the singer. I believe that every person has different idol-singers that he/she fonds of. But some of you have the u
Dear Captain,
My summer holiday has terminated and now I am back to school again. It's so nice to see my roommates. This term we'll take an internship.
Fay came to visit me with her son who could walk and talk now. Hehehe, I am happy that little kid likes me. You know, I enjoy kids' love to me as I also love them so much. We three took a walk on my campus in the afternoon. It was a beautiful afternoon. When they left, the little kid gave me a few flying kisses! I was so surprised and delightful. F

For certain, we'll have another pandemic in the future, once the viruses are always in often evolution whereas the science is a step behind , trying to beat them.
I believe the difference in the next generation of viruses that we will face hereafter are the dimensions and seriousness.

Dear Captain,
Before I have to move away, I went to visit some good friends. Jingjing begged me to visit her after I leave her as often as I can, and I promised her I would.
I told Jingjing a story about a bird and a frog as she asked. It narrated a frog who lived in a desert well had an argument with a bird who was tired and thirsty that stopped on the well. The frog insisted that the sky was as big as the mouth of the well while the bird said it was much larger than the well mouth. The frog told

Dear Captain,
I am a bit sad now. I should be happy, but... Mom and dad decided to move to another city and settle down there at the end of this year when that house is completely furnitured.
I am sorta fed up with moving house. In the past, we have moved three times. And I feel homeless in my heart. I can not make sure where my final and stable home is. There isn't a place where I can put all my memories. That can be a reason I want to live a sea life like you. Stay at a place, or wander from cov
It's been a while since I write anything. My work load seemed to be getting heavier, and by the end of the day, my mind was just too tired to do anything else. But I realised that I really missed writing, and trying to come up with coherent English sentences. Trying to make sense some flitting ideas and putting them into a sentence, and then a paragraph was a challenge that I never thought I will ever enjoyed.
So I thought, what the heck, and took long and deep breath (instead of drink, LOL. I d

Discussion Question: Which do you prefer, playing with numbers and numerical puzzles, or playing with letters and words? Give some reasons for your preference.
Definitely, numbers and numerical games don't take part in my personal taste, although I consider them very important for all humankind. Imagine if we don't have a solid numerical system these days. As society, we'd be in trouble, I suppose it was a complete shuffle in our ec
