Bubbles not Bombs

I wish war planes instead of dropping bombs, drop colorful balloons and bubbles. Then kids would run happily to play with them; they would laugh from the bottom of their lungs when they try to catch bubbles not knowing that as soon as they touch them, they would disappear. I wish instead of cartridge guns shoot chocolates, then kids would race to see who would pick more. I wish all the grenades would spread tinsels when they explode with a funny voice instead of horrifying sound.

Life doesn't always go my way.

Dear all,

It's been a while since last time I posted something over here. Yet, I am glad I'm back.

You know, we all go through different experiences an their lessons. However, we sometimes have that feeling about 'why things didn't happen as we wanted to, as we planned to and probably as we think we deserved it'. I don't want to sound desperate or 'sad' but I am curious about how things end up so different as we wanted it and it is not what we actually expected - you get disappointed -.

I read -

Those eyes...

Sometimes silence speaks better than words. In fact silence speaks what words can't even. What one needs is not the ears to listen that untold story but a soul to feel the emotions. Sometimes some eyes ask some questions. And at other times all the answer lie in our small smiles. Smiles which come from within, without immediate reason. You are happy, not because you got something, not because you achieve something. But because you saw those eyes which were happy.
The story of life is not writte

What it takes to be the most powerful country in the world? For how long and how much does it take to remain at the top of the world? There are choices, some really hard to make. And how does it feel when you know that these choices affect the people living in frigid Siberia to hot and dry Sahara? Its not easy to understand these serious questions. It needs patience to listen others and get the things from their point of view.

I am writing this blog after reading a lot of blogs condemning USA. Ma

Once again

Once again I lost you, and

praying and whining to get you back

I wanted to feel, wanted to linger the moment

the way you came in my dreams last night.

but my poor memories are not helping me

killer time took you away like a gusty wind

now I am howling for you

like a barren field

 I am crying for you

like the fallen leaves

cry for its past.

Who would have thought that your finger length says something about your personality? :P

This is just one of these ‘funny and curious’ tests. Needless to say  this is like a silly personality game, and these kind of ‘guides’ don’t have any kind of psychological, physiological or just ‘logical’ basis. It's completely without foundation...
But is funny! :D

This is how it goes: This picture shows three different kind of hands, labeled A, B, and C.
Look at your left hand and find the one that most c

Hallo...win...win...

How is your Halloween? My Halloween is:* I knew about Halloween since I was on the second year of High school. My school organized a Halloween night. That time I just knew Halloween was the day that people wore costumes. Some friend was dressed as a Vampire (Dracula). Some used toilet paper to disguise himself as a Mummy. And many others just wore normal clothes. I didn't know what to wear so I made a butterfly mask by myself. Although I went there by my own (without any friend), I had a happy Hal

JUST DO NOT ESCAPE:

I LOVE MY COUNTRY… not my Government! Here everything is somehow wrong… we are people who has the oldest culture… but now it's ruining… because of what they call it "RELIGION"
They either ruin the best culture and the most complete religion in the human history… The following is a piece of truth which a few days ago caused a tract to be attached!

WHERE IS ABROAD?
ABROAD is where all people have the AIDS!
ABROAD is where all people are dealing and disturbing others honor…

Waiting

Never had I waited for her for such a long time before.  Rarely had she given me such a tough time.  Hardly had I reached the rendezvous, when I received a call from her that she would not be able to come till the end of the day, and at the same time I was asked not to leave the place.  Never have I been treated so indifferently and ignored when I needed her company so badly.  No sooner had the day ended than I received another call from her informing me that she would not be able to come.   I a

Try to memorize it this time

Yes, I mean 'try to memorize the word that you failed to memorize when you first saw it'.

Some words are hard to memorize, even though you've tried to memorize them with all the means which you think are so effective.

I agree that 'imagination' is the trick, but sometimes it doesn't work, too. For example, I can memorize the words 'adoption' and 'adaption' with imagination, but it seems there's no way for me to memorize the word 'leper' or 'seism' by using the imagination.

Sometimes it may have

Hi guys I've got a good one here for you to try out.  It's amazingly accurate if you just stick to the rules. There are only three questions and if you see them all before finishing you will not have honest results. Go down slowly and do each exercise as you scroll down. Don't look ahead. Get pencil and paper to write your answers as you go along. You will need it at the end. This is an honest questionnaire, which will tell you a lot about your true self.  Remember no cheating and looking it up

Thank you for posting this month's Writing Challenge, Luci! Here is my letter to my country.

2347144346?profile=originalDear Canada (my home and native land),

I’m so thankful that I was born in your protective and peaceful arms. That is not to say we don’t have any worries here. Just yesterday, the schools in our region were in a lockdown because of a murder nearby. But, fortunately, these things don’t happen very often in my region. I feel very fortunate to live in a country where most people don’t carry guns.

Your size is

When Bertha was pregnant, she suffered lots of pains for his son Mike. At last, her doctor asked her husband:” The mother or the child? Which one do you like us to save?”
After 23 years…
Mike:” You don’t understand, you don’t know what I’m talking about…”
Dad:” And you don’t understand what I am talking about…”
_ I’m just wondering how God between you and mom chose you for me…
_ Yeah… and I’m wondering why I obeyed your mom… why between you and her I chose you…

Hi guys,

While learning some new collocations today I found an example that I just couldn't get the whole meaning of the sentence. (Even though I did google a lot T__T)

This is the example for the collocation "broad range" that contains words which I'm so confused about:

E.g: "The color produced from this reaction is stable and increases in a PROPORTIONAL FASHION over a broad range of increasing protein concentration".

Could anybody please help me explaining what "proportional fashion" here means?
