Gratitude Blog

Sometimes when the world is full of spite and our dreams are down to the last leaf on the branch, we just want to recoil from everything.   We long to vanish into thin air without leaving even a trace of our scent behind.   Just as if we never existed.    But what if there was another perspective, another set of lens with which we could view our life, would we give it a try?  If we are only able to focus on the good things, would we come to an acceptance,  would we come to a contentment, and dar

14th August: Pakistan Independence Day

Every country has his unique way of celebrating his independence day. The celebration of this day, actually, reminds us the sacrifices made by our elders for the sake of our future. Everyone has his own motive for seeking independence or demanding a separate homeland where he can cultivate whatever he wants just like a newly married bride desires for a separate home where there is no interference in carrying out her own ideas, so she may easily pursue her dream or imagination.

What's Inside My Purse

This blog was inspired from Alice E's blog 'What's inside your purse?'. Reading her blog made me want to 'explore' the chaos world of my handbag.

Currently I'm using a navy blue leather Longchamp handbag. I have a few handbags, well it's true the saying that a girl can never have enough handbags or shoes', but all of them are a few years old. When I went to Europe in 2011, I went a bit crazy and bought a few handbags. But even though they are a bit out dated in term of fashion, but I bought them

Hide and Seek

Full moon is showing its beauty, the dark clouds playing hide and seek, cover the moon to hide the beauty then removes its curtain and there shines the beauty.

So as my beloved, shows her beauty, and then slightly bows her head the silky dark hair slide down on her face by the side to hide her beauty like the cloud hides the moon.

This hide and seek is going on and on since the beauty and the love for beauty descended from heaven.

I am one of those hearts which beats in rhythm with this hide and se

Vince has never been to Venus

Vince was mowing the lawn when his friend Vic shouted at him out of the blue, "Have you been to Venice?"

"What?" Vince shouted back. "I've never been to Venus. Are you crazy?"

"Venice, the Italian city. Not Venus, the planet."

Vince stopped to talk with Vic on the lawn. Early in the morning, Vince heard a snap outside and he scrambled to the lawn and only found out it was the cat that was meowing on the fallen branch - the cat might have had a nap on the tree.   He decided to mow and clean the law

One day, a plumber was trying to buy some plums. The plumber was not good at bargaining, much less a veteran bargainer. He couldn't believe his ears when he knew the price of the plums. "How could the plums be so expensive?" he shaked his head. He fished some bills out of his vest, though he thought it was an irrational price. He thought to himself on his way home, "I do have a nice vest on, but that doesn't mean I'm a vet (a veterinarian or a veteran). If I had the veto power, I would veto any

GREETINGS AROUND THE WORLD!

Few days ago I read an article about worldwide greetings traditions and I found some of them very interesting for being so different from my culture.

In my country (Spain) we usually give two kisses, or we shake hands whether you're in a very formal situation or it's the first time you meet that person.
While there are countries where people love to kiss (in the Netherlands they give 3 kisses on the cheeks and in France, depending on the region, you can get from 2 to 5 kisses on the chee

In the stillness of the dawn I found myself at the site of my childhood home, a sight so soothing and hauntingly hopeful. Soft pink summer rays of the sun seeping through the lace curtains nods an assent at my arrival as I make my ascent to a flight of stairs that seemed like an endless carousel ride. I opened the door to my old bedroom and with bated breath I stepped inside, baited by the fond memories of my sojourn there. Recollections of youth allude to secret fantasies a young heart could no

She had always been sceptic about his love since the very first day she declared to him that she loved him, and when he searched his heart, he found that it was too strange that it had already got septic by the bacteria of love.  He knew that the path of love was tortuous and it’s always been a torturous, but it was still titillating and titivating for him to become the glint of her eye. But one day he felt falling from the top storey of his building when she sent him message that she does not l

Yes, it's high time we had another writing challenge. Let's talk about words that look or sound alike.

I just read a news report about the typhoon Soudelor, and it said there was a power outage in a city battered by the typhoon. The word 'outage' instantly made me remember another word 'outrage' - I may have confused 'outage' with 'outrage'.

In fact, there are so many words that look or sound alike or 'confusing words' in English. How about 'desert vs dessert', 'gateway vs getaway', 'fussy vs fu

For The Sake Of Knowledge.

Who is Sunni Muslim?
The Muslim who follows Sunnah.

What is sunnah?
The teaching and actions or examples of Muhammad, Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him). Personally, I don't like to label myself as Sunni Muslim as there is no such word "Sunni Muslim" in Quran and Hadith.

The Sunni Muslim believe that Muhammad, Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) didn't nominate a successor before his departure from the world. Hence, the most of his prominent companions (may Allah be pleased with them) gathered

MALARIA VACCINE!

A Significant Achievement In The World Of Medicine…

I

n general, people get shocked/traumatized in hearing the word “MALARIA” because we all know the outcomes of malaria, and on the other hand, how it terribly effects on the interests of our people as a whole. For centuries, especially people living in tropical and sub-tropical regions have been suffering from malaria because there is no practical way-out to curb it successfully. In the human history, a larger number of people died of malaria posi

What comes to your mind when you just flick through the topic without scanning the whole? You might think of what this person is about to say with “0s” and “1s”. Absolutely, in this so called “modern era”, although we’ve simply ignored it because of “our busy lifestyle”, the entire world depends on “0s” and “1s”.

It is human nature that we knowingly or unknowingly forget simple things around us but focus on big issues because we are so interested in talking about “big… big things”. As you aware,

Cheer up, it's a girl

Her mind was busy while she was looking at her girls. She loves them so much. She is expecting another baby; she longed to have a boy. Her husband also loves to have a boy and told her that this time it must be a boy. A few days later she walked into doctor’s office to have sonogram to see if the baby is ok and also to find out about baby’s gender.  She was informed that the baby was fine and the baby was a girl.

She didn’t know whether to be happy or not and how to give the news to her husband.
