When we are looking for love,

A man punished his daughter who was three years old, because she wasted a roll of golden wrapping paper.

He was going through a financial crisis; he became infuriated when his daughter tried to decorate a box by this fascia to be in the form of a gift.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father while he sat drinking his morning coffee, and said to him: "This is for you, Daddy.”
He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he opened the box and found that the box was empty. He yelled at her again, "Do not you know that when you give someone a gift, is supposed to be something inside it?

He threw the box in the trash and buried his face in his hands.

Then, the little girl looked at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Dad, it's not empty, I've put a lot of kisses into the box. It was all for you, Daddy.”
The father's heart crashed when he heard that. He put his arms around his little girl and begged for her forgiveness. She hugged her father and covered his face with kisses. Then gently took the box out of the trash and began to repair what damage of the golden paper.
He pretended to take kisses out of the box while his daughter laughed and clapped her hands in glee.

Both enjoyed a lot of fun that day. The father promised himself that he would make more effort to maintain a good relationship with his daughter, and he did.
The father and his daughter grew very close over the years.

Then, a horrible accident took the life of the child ten years later. It has been said that the man had kept that golden box all those years, took it out and put it on a table near his bed.

  • Seeker,  thank you for reading and for the nice comment.

  • Onee,
Great love between the father and his sons is the magic that makes them respond to him. We love our children very much, but unfortunately we can not make them feel so. So often the children' punishment is the reason for hating the boys to their parents and their stubbornness with their parents. Thank you Onee for reading and for the comment.

  • Mishaikh,
The problem is that difficult words kill more than any other punishment, and that the child never forgets these positions even after they grow up, so we must beware when punish our children and to make the children understand that we love them very much, so we punish them. Thank you for reading and for the comment.

  • Really nice story, so touching, Samuel. The pure heart of a daughter.

I used to hear high tones, hard speaking from my father. But now not anymore. He know that I will run away from him if he do so. So, he speaks so gently now. I know he takes a big effort to do it. Because he loves me. :)

    Thank you for sharing.

Nice to hear that, Mishaikh.. :)

  • I don't remember a single time when I got angry (seriously) with my daughter, even I used hard tone once or twice, then stopped to do it, because I felt that my hard words hurt me more.

  • Setareh, thank you so much for your precious comment.

  • Oh what a sad story. Lets love our beloved ones every moment we are together. Lets put aside so-called pride and tell them that we love them from the bottom of our hearts.  Thanks for sharing.
