In my childhood, I used to ponder so much over why a rose is symbolic sign of love. waht is the best thing to do??

i have 3 years old son,rafa. he always cries when his wants not fulfilled..and even he cries over the thing that is not important like i accidentally change the television channel when it's break ...i have tried to make him to be quiet...but he contuniue to cry more and more...louder and louder..and he can cry more than 3 hours contuniously.... i have no idea how shut him up...so i just let him do it anyway...but i am afraid that if this happen everyday it will affect to his character in the fut
