Grand feast

All were preparing for arranging grand welcome for the new joiners in the collage. We all were working since morning. Suddenly Prem came there from some where. We didnt see him anytime in that day. He asked us to join a party in the evening.

We all asked " Why the party?" We didn't get any answer. All are wondered, Why Prem is calling us for a party? Till date, we have not seen Prem spend some money for us. We didn't discuss much about the party but decided to attend the party.

After the grand w

An odyssey of a neutrino!

In the beginning, there was emptiness and void. Then a mysterious thing happened. God said that the four-dimensional divergence of an antisymmetric second rank tensor equals zero and there was light. A second after this mysterious bang I was born. It was an ineffable event and I seriously can’t recall what precisely happened. There were others like photons and different elementary particles but for them surrounding was opaque for quite sometimes. For me, I could see and walk around from the mome

The mulberry tree

She woke up. She slept only few hours. She was so tired from the last night that she was feeling her body dead. She couldn’t open her eyes yet. She felt the nature calling her but she thought that she could sleep a little more. She covered her head with the blanket and tried to take a nap. Impossible. Once she wakes up it is difficult for her to sleep again and she hates that. But she loves staying in bed in the morning, for hours, and that she was going to do. She went to the toilet and she cam

Poem Challenge: My Conscience

My Conscience

It’s hard to talk with you
You have a severe homilophobia

That day, the accident happened
Stressed, froze, and got drowned
Your notation was not aesthetic at all
That natatorium had made you feel bad afterall

Something in you, I never knew
What’s wrong? What’s going on?

I remember our tryst
at the secret rendezvous
I titivated myself just to see you
But you never came

With the smell of petrichor
I went home lackadaisically while the TV on
Who cares about Anastasia Nikolaevna
She’s not a

Blog Challenge: Memory of MyEC 2016

The year of 2016 was started without Tara Benwell's presence in this wonderful site, MyEC. I was wondering how this site would run without her writing challenges or her encouragement for new members. Although her activities were not that much, she came once to thrice a week, but this beautiful admin always left good atmosphere here. The bloggers seemed quite thrilled to write various topics of blogs.

If you see the list of monthly archives on blog section, the number of blog from January to Decem

2347376344?profile=originalMy friends! We are back home after the long vacation in Ukraine and are ready to teach you a little again. Ha-ha!

Well, reading and correcting your stories on my last challenges, I noticed some of you have true problems using nonfinite verbs, especially in the passive form. So, I am planning to post a few blogs related to this part of grammar. I'd like to start with the Participle I. Last year, Tanya posted the blog where she explained how to use participles correctly. Here is the link:

‘What am I going to write about’ is the most important question that you’ve got to ask yourself before you start writing any paper. But it’s even more important when you’re deciding what you’re going to do for your midterm. After all, with a shorter paper a poor topic can still be fudged as there is generally enough pre-amble and post-amble to get you through.

When the paper gets longer, however, that’s no longer possible. You actually have a big body to fill and you better make sure that you fil

International students and workers must take a standardized test of English to move into higher levels of education and employment. There are three popular tests that universities or employers can use. They are the Test of English as a Foreign Language, TOEFL, the Test of English for International Communication, TOEIC, and the International English Language Testing System, IELTS. In most cases, the choice is clear. A student applying to a school learns which test the program requires. However, s

Meet my pet: Peeve! III

Betcha you're more than familiar with password restrictions. Granted, it's for our "safety" and everything, but I can only take so much! You're telling me my password should contain:

A capital letter (preferably in bold and italic)

An imaginary number

A spell to trap a leprechaun

A vial of fairy dust

An Enochian letter (more than one is safer, though.)

A monogram and a voodoo chanting?

Come onnnnnn!

Dear website security system - hell-bent on "protecting" me:

The next time I decide to buy a froyo online

My Ideal House

2347373040?profile=originalDo you like to live in a palace or a house? I'd prefer to live in a big house with lots of furniture just like an apartment or a boarding house because I can't live by myself and 2 cats.

I love my house even though it is small but comfortable.

What abput you? Which room do you like to spend time there?

I'd prefer my library in front of a fire place, sipping a green tea milk and choco chips biscuits made by a bakery.

I want to have a coffee table and games room someday...

“Run Dark, run!” How many times I’m going to say this to myself, like a mantra that reminds me of how to live and to survive, an alarm to my senses that I must escape, whatever it takes, wherever I’ll be. Time runs so fast like what my feet are doing now, I don’t know why they keep on chasing me as that woman have more than enough jewels to care about minus this piece of gold I have in my hand. I know what you’re thinking about me, and you are so right! I’m snatcher, an expert stealer; my hand i

The power of love

There lived a handsome young man in a small town. His name was John. He always was in the red ... not to say he was broke... nevertheless he lived on a large scale like a rich man. John was not stupid, only very lazy. He was an excellent chef but he didn't work at all. His parents always payed for his debts, so he never saw any reasons to change his behaviour. He was not a bad person... just, he never had learned to do anything in time or even to catch the ball before the boun
