I start the day with breakfast, take meal at lunch and dinner, eat snacks at evening, enjoy eating when I see movies and drama series, watch cooking shows in you tube. A huge lot of time I spend everyday dealing with food. My mother become very angry to see how obsessed I am on cooking shows like "Masterchef" or "Hells Kitchen". He asked me to concentrate on studying and spending less time to watch TV. I do not pay hide much of her advice, rather then that I spend most of my time after returning

It's not uncommon that a blog consists of a very long paragraph. I usually suggest the blogger to paragraph the long paragraph whenever I come across one. Here's some tips:

A blog with short paragraphs is more readable than a blog with a long one

A long paragraph isn't so reader-friendly, which means it's hard to read. It can be so tiring to read such a long paragraph. Your readers deserve your consideration - they need the space and the pause. Make it a pleasant experience to read your blog.

Big deal? Maybe not. Some members here may find it confusing, though.

'An English teacher' usually means someone who teachs English, but it may sound like someone who's from Britain, or the UK.  And, it can also refer to someone who teachs English and is from Britain. English is now such an important widely-used language, which's really something the British should be proud of. Some Britons or Brits (whatever you call British citizens), however, may not feel anything special when they hear you us

My Definition of a Blog

According to IT terminology, a ‘blog’ is a website containing a writer’s or group of writers’ own experiences, observations, opinions, etc.  But in my opinion this is not just posting words in a group of sentences reflecting your experiences, observations, opinions etc.  A blog is a place you show yourself as what you are.  This is a mirror which reflect the energy of your emotions, it also makes other to feel the heat of your passions.  It is like talking to friends and w

Yes, if we want to reach the goal more than 460 posts for this month June, we need to publish at least 15 posts per day.

The record is 460 posts a month

Did you ever wonder which month in history we set the record? Why so many posts were published in that month? I don't really know, either. I think it must have happened in a month when so many members here couldn't help blogging. Now, we're even trying to break the record.

The real goal is to improve our writing skills

I know the number we're tryi

A Blog Post That Meant a Lot To Me

I have more than one blog posts that meant a lot to me.  I am here on EC since October 2013, but I have been blogging for 3-4 years.  Prior to joining EC I was posting my written work on Culture Page of another platform.  (It isn’t active any more).  The blogs that meant to me a lot I also posted here on EC. Why English Language Teachers Should Blog

I have been blogging with English language learners for about six and a half years. Before MyEC, I had blogged on other platforms; however, I quickly realized that blogging with EnglishClub members would be different than blogging alone. Blogging in this community has taught me that all English language teachers should have a blog that they share with their students and their colleagues.

Blogging with your English learners can help you discover their weak

There are different ways to communicate with other people. It depends on people and the way they choose to convey their messages. Have you ever looked at a picture or a painting for so long and it looks like it is talking to you. It seems that the painter try to convey his message through his painting without using even a single word he is able to transfer the meaning he had in his mind. A composer speaks through his music. Sometimes a piece of music can touch our soul and heart so deeply.

Do you

Making friends through Blogging:

Making friendship in virtual world is easy and difficult both, but you can’t be sure how long it lasts, because this relationship is made behind the curtain of electrons, you still can’t be sure of the personality of the member on cam, you simply see the appearance. Friendship if made between two persons having the same frequency, the same interests, the same hobbies, like singing, dancing, and other supports, this friendship last long (may be forever or may turn

Some members here often have a picture or some pictures included in their blogs.

A blog with a picture can be so vivid or clourful, but too many pictures/photos in a blog isn't a good idea, and you should make sure you're allowed to use those pictures. Here's some tips in case you want to use pictures in your blog:

Do not use a lot of pictures in a blog2347070432?profile=original

It can be so distracting if you use so many pictures in a blog, and it can also hamper the reading. Using one or a couple of pictures a time if you

Writing challenge ( as a bonus)

It was a sunny warm winter morning. Tintin had no hurry to wake up so early. So, she decided to lie down more. Last night she had a dream. In her dream, there were some  people. But, what was the dream about now she could not remember, strange!

''Hmm, I must get out from my lurking bed and should get ready. But, before it, I must check on mama, how she is doing.'' So, she started towards her mom's room. And, to her surprise, she found her mother was on the bed!

'' It is really odd to see her on th

I think, it is a good topic to write a blog on it! Well, I am an enthusiastic learner. And, as a learner of English language, I have found writing blogs is quite helpful.

First of all, it helps us to think deeply about a topic or situation.

secondly, It is a good way to practice writing skill.

thirdly, one can find out his/her errors, they may grammatical or syntax or anything else!

Fourthly, It is an effective way to do revision, it may be about spelling/ idioms/ phrases/ common errors/ similar wor

Why Blogging in a Community is better than Blogging Alone:

To discuss this topic I would like to invite you to read my blog on the topic “Why Blogging is Useful for English Learners” wherein I have discussed that a writer’s (blogger’s) first wish is to be read, read by maximum readers so that he would be able to get their comments, to improve how to use the vocabulary, and later on make a place in the world of literature. In my opinion blogging is the priority after making a habit of reading. A d

Members here do re-publish old blogs as new. Maybe they just want to share their old blogs again. Sometimes they may have re-edited a blog and re-pulished it again. Here's my two cents:

We need more writing practice to sharpen our writing skills - the more you write, the better. Only when you write can you realize where you're weak or where you need to improve, even though you've learned all the basic rules. That's why I encourage our members here to keep writing new blogs instead of re-publishin

Writing Challenge: Stepmother

This is the last month Writing Challenge. Many challengers took parts in the writing challenge with so much enthusiasm and expressed their affections for their mothers impressively, but none of them wrote a blog on a stepmother who also plays positive or negative role in the life of a stepchild. Maybe none of them had  the stepmother.

So, let me introduce you my stepmother who always comes in the time of necessity. I am sure you must have met this mother many times or at least once a life. I me

Tried my best to participate in Tara's monthly challenge. (Lol I really forgot so many things which I had learned few months ago)

Teachers, I would love to be corrected! So, here is my entry!

To read and write useful blogs should be very important for the English language teachers. They should blog on different, interesting and easy topics to grab the attention of their readers/ learners. A reader/learner would love reading a blog, full of knowledge yet easily understood. Blogging would be a great

How blogging has changed my life:

Before I came to know how to blog (writing on a website forum), I was in a complete suffocation, and surprisingly I didn't know the reason of all the burden I had on my heart.   Because of such faded nature, I didn't have confidence in myself and always shied out where I was needed to speak or express.  I didn't have many friends.  And whenever or whatever company I had, I simply sat quiet listening to others and not responding.  Then I became a hermit.   In such

WHY ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS SHOULD BLOG?

A teacher is a guide, a mentor and an ideal for students.   Language learners always expect to have some new words, new lines, new thoughts and new ideas from their mentor.  They have an unexpressed attachment with their teacher and expect that their problem will be solved by him or her in a jiffy.  And sure a good teacher knows all this, so she leaves no stone unturned to provide all the knowledge to the students.

English language, especially because of
