In 1992, a Japanese foreign student was shot to death by a man in the U.S. This tragedy was caused by mistakes. He, who was dressed up for Halloween, visited a man's house to get Halloween treats. But the man mistook him for a robber and said "Freeze". However he got closer to the man while laughing and said "I have come to Halloween party", because he mistook "Freeze" for "Please" . At that time, he was shot to death by the man. This accident made Japanese people think about the U.S as a gun s

I recently started to realize the difference between both of these terms, and obviously, they both work to either cheer you up or put you down, I would like to highlight the main difference between them, in order to know how they work and how you can avoid falling into the unknown trap of one of them, particularly in our work.
Generally, Inner Peace means or refers to being at peace or getting into a state of calmness, contentment, and satisfaction with yourself, basically, you can achieve that s
Profile photos can be inoffensive avatars, real photos, illustrations etc.

* What do YOU hear when I say? *
It is interesting. We all hear such phrases
or derivations on the same. "I hear ya.",
"Ya man, I hear ya.". "Can ya hear me?".
"Ya feel me?", "I heard that!" and the like.
What does that truly mean? It is like listening
to a verbal short hand for connectivity between
souls having meaningful conversations.

Memories of ghosts past
I firmly believe that there are some
events that NO child should ever witness.
Back in the year 1967 possibly 1968,
I was a first grader at a local grade school.

At this time of the season (end of June) the very ancient pagan cultures used to celebrate the Summer Solstice; also called: Midsummer or Litha. In my country it's called St. John's Day because catholic people basically took all the pagan celebrations and turn them into catholic ones for making everybody to forget their pagan culture and roots.
The summer solstice on June 21st (also celebrated on 22nd or 24th) is the highlight of the year. For the pagan cultures, the Earth shows the fertility giv
If you are using IPTV subscription or if you are offering the streaming services, you would be interested in understanding the functionality behind it. That’s where you should figure out how the IPTV servers work. Along with that understanding, it is possible for you to get effective work done out of the connection and make sure that you receive impressive results at the end of the day.
What exactly is IPTV?
IPTV is the abbreviation that is used for internet based protocol television. Before you u
Yes, I would like to say thanks a lot to our honorable founder Mr. Josef for his today's mail regarding English club members' profile pictures! Yesterday I (we) got a message from Admin, it says who's page has no current profile picture it may be deleted. Honestly speaking, I got frightened thinking about my profile picture then I sent a mail to our favorite two Mods, Paula and Onee and finally today I have got ( I think you also got) a message from Mr. Josef in this regards. Now, it is clear
Hi, I'm Salma. I'm not new here but I've been away for a long time. I love to write and it's too bad Tara is no longer here with her writing challange. So, I chose this topic from the writing prompts in the "Learn English" section, hoping someone will do the editing for me.
I'm from a huge family of 15. You may not believe it but all fifteen of us are from the same mother. Yes, the same father, the same mother. We have 10 boys and 5 girls. I'm the tenth child of the family so, I have five younger
I’m not good at getting up early.
Even thought I decide to get up early, I always over sleep. So my ideal that I make tea and taste it with delicious bread elegantly in the morning isn’t always realised.
On the other hand, at night, I’m so energy, and I can awake even A.M 3:00 or A.M4:00.
I want to become a morning person, because I’m often late for school. :-/
Lately, I think that if I use school chime as alarm, I may get up in the morning ...

No matter where the move is to, one of the hardest parts about making a new place home is finding friends there. Of course, when the place you’re moving to is a country across the world with a different culture and language, that’s only truer. But a little perseverance and the right attitude will get you far. Of course, so will looking in the right places. So, where are the best places to find friends in China? That all depends on you, b
"Hello everyone!"
Does this phrase look useful for you? You can answer to this question in the comments, but I want to say that for me, it does. Well, not exactly this phrase, but it's variations. You can easily start any conversation with it. And for the last 365 days I used this phrase a lot!
I joined this site one year ago (actually one year and one month ago) and since that time I have faced either happy and sad moments. Oh my, there were so many, that I can't even recall all of them.

Life is very difficult.
To whom it may concern;
English Club is my favorite web-site and highly recommended by me to other friends. Your policy is impeccable and your teaching system superb. I don't see the connection between profile pictures and teaching methods. Please, I would liked to reinstate my Avatar profile in the future.
I had my Avatar profile picture for long time and it had a humble meaning for me. I was very proud of my Avatar and I don't see the logic for English Club telling me to remove it or my accoun
Okay, this is a short message for everyone who are going through tough times:
It doesn't matter if the weather is awful and cold, or if people around are in a bad mood or grumpy... keep faith and hope in your heart, then move on. Bad weather and bad humor are temporary...may your will and fancy to live persist until your last breath.
Good luck everyone!

Things go wrong, yes they do
Sometimes you think it's all about you
You look at the sky for answers
But most of the time it's in closed eyes in prayers
The travel sometimes goes long and wide
Seems endless no matter how fast the stride
But if you slow down and watch inside
It's in the silence that our hearts confide
There are battles we choose and ones we ignore
We sometimes stop sailing to go ashore
The halt does not mean we wish to quit
The choice to fight we see deem

A little dirty spot on the floor,
It’s daunting, right?
You managed to sweep the dirt from all over the floor, except that little spot, despite the fact that it’s just a little one plus sometimes it takes much less time to clean it, so why don’t you complete your job and clean that one too? It’s easy to say but hard to perform, I will tell you why.
Once you realized that you’ve done 99.9% of your task whether it’s accurate or not you tend to turn away from completing the little 0.1% why?
Because, ac

If a word or phrase is spoken more than it is written, the correct spelling can be difficult to remember. This is a common problem with exclamations, e.g., whoa, aw, whoops, etc.
As you might imagine, these exclamations don’t find their way into written prose all that often, and when they do, writers forget how to spell them. Whoa, for example, has at least two misspellings that pop up in printed works: whoah and woah.
In this post, however, I want to cover five Engl
