  • Wow...dear Nafisssssssss,i love barbari...this semester i go to my English institute in the evening so that after the class is finished ,it is the time for prayers ...so i go go to a Mosque nearby (i have memories of this old mosque when i was in elementary school too)..so you may ask what is its relation to Barbary!!!...the point is that there is a bakery next to the mosque where they bake Barbary...you must guess what is the rest of the story...whenever i pass this bakery the smell of Barbary makes me sooooo crazy ...i enjoy from its smell as if i am eating it ...once i couldn't stand and i bought two rolls of it for 500 Tomans...then i waited for my bro to come and walk home together ...as i had not put the bread in the pocket ,the passersby were all crazy looking at it so that two women in that short period of time when i was waiting came to me and asked me for the bakery's address...after my bro came i asked him to buy a pocket for it ...we went to a supermarket but the saleswoman gave us a pocket and asked for no money ...so we decided to buy sth from her ...but we forgot to offer some bread to her ...after we went so far we regretted why we didn't offer her ...
anyway ,that night was so memorable ...
my mom also liked the bread which made me happy too...
that bakery has really delicious bread ....last night my aunt also had bought some and i could help myself ;)
anyway,i wish you come here and i buy some for you to enjoy its taste and smell...
sorry if i talked a lot ...it was a whole diary ...
thanks Sonia for giving the stage to me ...hahahaha
    have a nice time:)

My dear soniya, I am so glad that you liked the photos. The great joy indeed is on a picnic, setting the fire and making the Kebabs...And, your past memory is so interesting, enjoyable and funny. I think when something strange happens, makes the day memorable and the memory will be carved in mind.

Today, I brought some Iranian bread, the first one is Barbari and the last one is Sangak. I miss them...hummmmm!!

Dear Francesco, the photo makes us to dream so imagine if it happens in reality what it would be....the joy would be doubled....hahahahahaha...

    Have a wonderful time dreaming!
    Nafis

  • Dear francesco ,

usually when my friends invite me to a party or something like this i don't bring with myself a sandwich because i am sure that there i will find good meal :)
  • Who wants to invite me for dinner and offer me a big kebab ????
    i am really hungry .
  • hi guys, woow, kebab, the most delicious persian food. i like both kebab and pizza, in following part i deascrib a bit about the preparing of the kebab, espacialy iranian one,ok
    Ingredients:
    · 1 lb. ground beef or lamb
    · 1 med. onion, grated
    · 1/4 cup bread crumbs or white flour
    · 1 egg slightly beaten (optional)
    · 1 tsp. tumeric
    · 1 tsp. salt
    · 1/2 tsp. pepper
    · 1 Tbs. lemon juice
    Directions:
Mix all ingredients well - cover and leave in frig overnight or at room temperature for a few hours.
In order to prevent the mix from falling off the skewers, you should drain the water (juice) out of the grated onion before adding it to the meat. Also the colder the mix, the better it will stick to the skewers.
Dividing the meat into 10-12 portions. Press each portion around long metal skewers and shape evenly.
Place the skewers a few inches away from the grill coals. Turn constantly for a couple of minutes and then cook each side for a few minutes
  • but Koobide is not that easy...next time i ask my mom or i find a recipe in the web and tell you about it ...
  • sonia...as i am a soooooooooooo skillful cook;) i know that it is toooooooooooo easy to grill the beef on fire and make kebab out of it....hahahaha
    just kidding ...
i am not a cook ,but as my mom cooks chicken kebabs ,i know a bit about it ...
but believe me ...kebab gets ready so easily...
for chicken ,you cut it into pieces ,you soak it into raw pieces of onion, some lemon juice, some spices as salt ,turmeric, black pepper ,etc...
after it has been soaked well for some time, preferably three days or so in order that the chicken absorbs the taste of those spices ,you can grill it and have it for your meal....
it is so easy ...isn't it....
sure for me who just eat it ,it is so easy....
    :)
