Onee-chan,my camera is not that powerful. I wish I can capture it nearer. About the shadow, honestly I can't answer you. Maybe it was the reflection of the camera lens. Only God knows, but I know I was there and I took the photo myself, and no unearthly elements were near me at that time. LOL
Noassss,,, I envy you. You know I really love astronomy. :D But, my poor camera cannot catch such photo. :(( :D
Now, you made me curious. How can that shadow be there??? Do you think it is the effect of the camera or another natural phenomenon? I'm sure the bright dot was a star.
Thank you so much for sharing. This is a RARE view! :)
I was lucky. I was at the right place at the right time. I was with my friends walking through the Kings Park, Perth and when I looked up, I was able to capture the scene. Since it was summer in Perth, the sky was very blue, that was why the moon and star (maybe it was a satellite) were clearly visible.

Elen, you and me both! I too wonder about the shadow. I guess maybe it was a reflection of the camera lense, somehow. Thanks for your nice words.
Amazing photo. I like how clearly and bright are the moon and the star in a not yet dark sky.
I am wondering too, about that shadow. Beautiful anyway and thanks for sharing!

Devil, it's as real as it can be. I was the one who took the photo. I'm not sure why there seemed to e a shadow of a moon in between.
Hi Evangelina,
