  • Thank you, Hardi, for your replay!

I also turn on the macro function, but sometimes I turn on the zoom function. That is, I use two functions simultaneously.

And your beetle is amazing! If to increase him, he seems covered with diamond dust!

  • Thank you for the comment, Rosenmaiden. ^_^

I don't know what the zoom of this photo. I just switch camera to macro mode, and take the photo. In Macro mode I can't use Zoom. Or actually I can, but then the small macro mode icon on camera's screen turns red. So I suppose it's not meant to use zoom there.. Otherwise my camera have max optical zoom 3x ...digital Zoom I don't remember.

The camera is same I always have had, but I trimmed the edges away, with a photo editing software. So the picture aspect ratio is different. I mean it's wider. I cut the edges away so that it would look most beautiful.. To keep some white flowers and bug... Well basically I kept wide aspect ratio such that it would look best. ^_^

  • Very nice short! Excellent macro!

Yes, I often see these beetles in our area too! And I do not know what they are called! What has increased is your camera? I do not know how to ask in English - I mean zoom. I photograph with a tenfold camera zoom. And you?

  • Fizzy@ Sorry, I don't follow.. don't get what you mean. But a very big thanks for coming by. ^_^

najwa oka@ Thank you for the comment, but how is that delicious? You must be crazy to eat that. :P

  • thought is a raw.. still good crop caption.. hehe

  • Maybe this beetle is ordinary only on these "fool parsley?" weeds. Because I think I've often seen this bug on the flowers of this weed. Or maybe it's just because it's easy to notice it on those white flowers.

I used my usual Niikon  coolpix L4 camera. I trimmed the photo on computer latter. It had too much excess background around the bug. I tried to keep white, green and all in balance when trimming excess edges... So that there would be enough background in left and right and top and bottom.. and... the colors would be in fair balance, or smth. ^_^

  • good captured hardi.. i could see every details of the bug.. never saw this kind of beetle before..

    what camera did you use?
