"Trans-" is a prefix with one meaning being "across". The Trans-Canada Highway goes across Canada from Pacific coast to Atlantic coast and is one of the world's longest national highways. Along much of its length the Trans-Canada Highway is a busy, multi-laned dual-carriageway, but at some points it becomes a quiet, single-carriageway road as here (Serpent River, Ontario)

Noas, lol..... Impressive shot, Mr. Josef! I always want to take a picture in the middle of the road/highway like this, but it's not been done yet. :D :D A quiet highway here only can be seen in early morning.
