I guess she may have been asking and trying to make sure if she could pay by her credit card or something like that. I don't think she was totally unware of the tags or she decided to wear the newly bought shirt instead of the old one. But her friend who was behind her found it funny and took the picture. Now, it's been anybody's guess.
Yes, regardless of whether she stole the shirt or paid for it, she likely forgot to remove the tags. If she did steal it, she would have been more concerned, don't you think? If she just bought it, she probably still has the receipt, so she would just be embarrassed. The receipt may even be in that bag with the shirt that she was wearing before she bought this one!
So many possibilities! Maybe she is my friend's friend, and he asked her to pose for this picture so that he could do a fun exercise with his students. Do you think this was staged?
Maybe she is just wearing this for teasing you all :) or ... she is the owner of the store so that she will not care about any situation or ... just taking your attention or ... She knows that someone will take a photo of herself to learn English ... Lol
I'm sure she has another spare shirt with a tag still intact to change into :-). Can you imagine, you can wear new shirts albeit with tags still intact nearly everyday provided you really have unique schedules and can return them to all those stores? LOL.
