Although my picture is not so attractive but I would like to share it. It is my way to office and it is looks like when it is raining. There are thousand of colorful umbrellas walking together bumping one others, :) looking nice, although that people have to suffer much to go work like this in a rainy season.
I have captured these pictures from running bus so it is not so nice like as real...
uhm Roman the art critic, I like that :D Well, I was talkin' about the meaning of the painting in general, but nvm. I like that just the small detail of the guy (or woman) with the umbrella led you to develop all that 'theory'. Good job! :P :D

Let me explain why he looks mysterious for me:
We don't know who he is. The same as with those people in The Scream.
He is not the main subject/object in the picture. The same as those people.
He looks calm and maybe even tranquilly. The same way as those two.
Our look is attracted by the other things in the picture, so we don't pay too much attention to him. The same...
Something (the rain) happens and he doesn't care about it. Well, it seems that those two from The Scream don't bother themselves by anything.
I am sorry, maybe I look ridiculous or silly, because I have never read about the meaning or the main idea of that picture. But I don't want to do that. At least now. Because it remains a secret for me. I don't want to know it. Or didn't want until this day... hmmm. Maybe I am afraid that it will not remain such an interesting picture for me :)

BTW, today I took this picture of the rain, being inside a bus, on my way from the village to home.
