  • Dear Noorany .. the fence like is the structure of the building of the terminal. The trees are planted inside a circular of the terminal. Attached herewith I put a simple floor map of the terminal building to illustrate the area. The area is the green colour in the map. So basically, the green area is being surrounded by the whole terminal building.

  • Hehhee Bala .. I don't know the names of the trees, but from a few of them, apparently the palm trees didn't attract birds. And I believed the trees didn't produce fruits nor flowers. Thus, maybe these are the criteria for trees that not birds don't like.

  • Noas...I got ur point, but i am wondering are there trees that dont attract Birds..?? Need more details abt those dear.....Shall i expect that from ur "Did u know - Yet another continuation" huh?

  • Dear Bala .. for an airport it is important that there are no birds. Birds can be sucked into jet engines and cause major damages to air crafts. Therefore, apparently they are some trees that birds don't like. So these trees were replanted inside the building.

  • Tree not attracted by birds!!!! How come !!!!

  • Bala from India .. yes... for a small place, it is indeed a great host for various trees. The trees were carefully selected to be replanted in there. One of the criteria was that the tree will not attract birds.

  • HI Grace .. yes, it's called KLIA Jungle Broadwalk. (KLIA = Kuala Lumpur International Airport). In fact the theme of KLIA is "Airport in the forest, Forest in the Airport". Visitors indeed can walk inside the Jungle Broadwalk and have a piece of jungle's feels.

  • Also, Different types of trees are there.....Grown in one place...like our EC...?? LOL

  • Sounds great design! The area provides tourists a good chance to kill time when waiting their airplane.
