JFK's Eternal Flame

This summer I visited President John F. Kennedy's memorial in the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. I was expecting it to be more beautiful, as the rest of the cemetery is quite breathtaking with endless rows of white tombstones.The eternal flame, which was requested by Kennedy's wife Jacqueline, has been burning since 25 November 1963. This photo shows her burial site, to the right of her husband.
