A later stage of freezing than frazil ice when the crystals have coagulated to form a soupy layer on the surface. Grease ice reflects little light, giving the sea a matt appearance. This photo was taken in the North of my country.
wow! entire field is covered with this type of ice. I want to imagen how it looks, since I can not visualize in my mind. The ice where it came from?, is a kind of snow? Either way, for me look like melted ice cubes. :)
