  • Wow, these photos are so BEAUTIFUL!!!!

And thanks for this information. I know that Belgium is a very beautiful country. And this lace school idea is great. World needs to take such measures to preserve the beautiful old traditions.

    Thanks again, Forget-me-not!

  • Hello Nida,

Yes, indeed they are beautiful, I LOVE lace and here in Belgium we have the world famous lace of the city of Bruges. 100 years ago many women could make lace but nowadays not many people do it, so that's why, a few years ago the city of Bruges created a "lace school" where people can learn the old hand technic to make lace. I think it's fantastic !

    This looks so complicated !!!

Here is a photo of the city of Bruges, the most touristic place of Belgium, as Venice in Italy it is said to be a city for lovers because of its high romanticism.

  • These laces are extremely beautiful!!

Thanks a lot for sharing, Forget-me-not.

  • @ Yasemin, as you, I think they are not hand made... hand made lace would be much more expensive than these ones. But still they are so delicate and pretty.

@ Atika, you know, when I was a teenager, my mother took me to a night sewing class but I don't have good memories about it, so I think I won't ever learn how to sew anymore.

Thanks to both of you for your comment :)

  • It can be hand made too Yasemin, but Manuella if u if you will learn one day, think to teach me too hehe... nice picture.

  • I think these are not hand-made. When Junko-chan came here, she gave me an umbrella, and on it there were some lace designs. I told her it is Turkish culture. But, she said "no it is Japanese". I still insist on it is Turkish culture. :D
