Thank you Gabriel. Your observation is correct except that the upright rectangle is in fact a perfect square placed centrally. Also, this is not really a new version. It has been around a long time and may even predate the other one. I can't remember without some research :)

Gosh, I wonder how I failed to see the difference in shape between the two! Okay, you’ve reduced the length of the black region that expends into the yellow territory. If I’m not mistaken, it is a perfect square in the old logo, whereas it is an upright rectangle in your latest variant. Am I right, sir?

In my humble opinion, the below EnglishClub logo which I stumbled across onthe Net stands out well against the white background. Both theblackandyelloware really rich compare to the colours you’ve used for the above one. This is merely a casual remark from me. I hope you don't mind!
