It's just only a week or less from when snow melted away. It will take some time for new green grass to grow.
I don't know why it have such color. It's not oil. Also probably there aren't much waste or pollution..
Maybe it's just bog water? In peat bog, water usually looks brown dark.. It can be also remains of dead grass and leaves and such organic from last autumn, that colors the water... I think here it's quite normal for ditch, or river water to look not so clean.. It's natural.
Yeah probably it's peat. There are some peat bogs in that region at the head of this ditch. There are even some big enough bog, where they harvest peat to burn in power-plant for heat and electricity..
Anyways, I'm not worried. I'm sure it's not pollution.. I think. ^_^
Hello Fizzy. I fulfilled your request. I took the photo of spring season on that place, for you. ^_^
It's not exactly same because I didn't recognize the place where I stayed in winter, without snow... And seems camera settings were not same too. Sorry about that, but it's still same place. :)
PS. Fizzy, it's not photographed from exactly from same spot, but it's the same ditch at summer on gogle earth. :) https://maps.google.com/?ll=........
U can get lost there in a snowstorm at dark, but on sunny day like this - there's probably no way to get lost in this clear field with many landmarks to orientate.. there are still trees on horizon, and power-lines and ditches and roads.. But if it was a snowfield not so similar.. Somewhere in north sea maybe. Then yeah. I would not want to go there.. I have bad sense of direction too. I get very easily lost in forest.. ^_^
I took this photo when staying on road.. on a culvert, or bridge... I think it was culvert or culvert type bridge.. Don't know what it is called exactly :P But anyways here's another photo taken to other direction, other side of road.. something east south.. or east-east-south maybe. :)
