We use to celebrate "Dia de muertos" or Day of the Dead in Mexico.
There are the beliefs that the soul of deads come in this days on 1st november the soul of children and 2nd november the soul of the adults , so the most of families put some things in a table to welcome this souls firstly relatives who have died then they put some candles, flowers, drinks, dishes with food like traditional food and the favourite one of the relatives when they lived, some fruit and bread and theirs portraits It's a kind of "altar" we named them "ofrendas" (offerings).
You can find also some figures which are representatives of death... but that's more in public places like in my pic.... I was in Puebla last week there I took this pic it was funy... nice I liked it and I shoot ;)
