Thanks. Yes caterpillars grow pretty big. And they probably exist in your part of world too Fizzy. But you ust don't notice them so easily on trees and in grass. Well in city there's less of them, but on places where u can meet butterflies, u can probably find also some caterpillars.
Actually I'm not sure how big this caterpillar was, surely 5cm long, but I think that together with the split tail it was at least 6 or maybe 7.
The Internet say, that this bug (Pus Moth) is common. It's usually green, that's why usualy stay unnoticeable, but before becoming butterfly, they may change color to brown or pink or smth.. I think that. That's probably also to stay unnoticeable in different background...
oh wow.. its huge.. its the first time i saw that kind of bug.. here only smaller one though.. its like a different kind of world you living in hardi.. hehe
Yeah, it reminded "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" also to me too.
I noticed this creature from far, crossing the road. It was pretty fast too.. so it was easy to notice. I was little bit scary looking also.. I was afraid to but camera too close. Thought that maybe it might attack me.. :P

Thanks for the comment, Martin.
I was able to identify this caterpillar. I's the Larva of Pus Moth (Cerura vinula).
