    You might be surprised that I am not a professional teacher. In truth, I was a computer programmer for most of my career. But seven years ago I started teaching English as a volunteer to immigrants who come to the USA. I was always good at English because I had good English teachers. But as I started to teach I realized that I could not always explain to my students why we do what we do in English. So, for the past seven years I have been teaching myself the depths of English and luckily my students have considered me an excellent teacher. But all my teaching is for no money. It is a gift.
