Eid mubarak Adambarfi! Long time no talk. How are you?
Mamnoon Adam, thanks for pressing the like button for hajj 1. Can you add anything? Thanks again.
Dear Mostafa! Sure, I remember you. I will tell Danny, but he always answers all his correspondence. He might not have got your mail as there are communication problems on the EC from time to time. (We do have them today!) OK, I've just asked him and he says he didn't see your message. Will you send it again, please?
Dear Mostafa! Don't mention! I am always glad to help if I am able to. As to that income, I haven't ment NYC or Boston or California. They are too expensive for students living for their scholarship. For you to see the difference: for me to have the same living standards, I should have earned twice as much in NYC. Hope, you've got it.
Hi, my friend! No thanks at all! Don't even mention!I was born and raised in the university circles, not to say it is my "natural habitat" as I have been working at the university for about 30 years. It is my pleasure to give you some recommendations.
As to your question. If you are non-smoker, non-drinker and don't spend too much money for women, if you don't pay much for accomodations, $1,200-1,500 a month will be enough for living if you are ready to live as a hermit for some time. Honestly, good education is worth that. The most expensive is lodging, rent. So, if you manage to live in the dorm (and it is quite possible), such amount of money will be enough even for having some fun. If I haven't answered your question, just ask others, OK?
Hi! We are back at last! As I had promissed I talked to some people I know at other universities. Most of them recommend Penna State University but all say the University of Michigan is also very good. As to Delft University(i think you mean one in Holland), I know almost nothing about it. So, it is for you to decide. But I have to tell you, to get a full scholarship for Ph.D program is very hard, or almost impossible,at least at my university or others I know well enough. However, all the results of your researches are always taken into account. I mean, the more articles published you have, the better it is. Besides, it matters where you have them published (I mean your publications should be in well-known international journals). But the main is significance of your researches, their applications. If you have some patents, it may work.
OK, we will ckeck it out when we get back home
Hi! Well, it is somehow close to my field as I deal with polymers, too. As far as I know, Penna and Michigan are very good , but to give you more resolute information I have to talk to my colleagues. We will be back home on Saturday. I believe it will not be too late if I tell you on Sunday. If it is, just tell me, I'll come in touch with them from here (still in Scandinavia, resting from heat! Smile).
Dear Mostafa! I agree with every word you wrote. You are 100% right. Our history, culture, values make us who we are, but it is education and knowledge, professional experience, our desire to reach our goals that make us what we are. And if our goals are right, we improve not only ourselves, but also our world and life of others. Working with young people all my life I can say for sure, you should try to make your carreer being young and free of obligations. The older you get, the harder it becomes. And the best place to study engineering is the USA. So, your choice is abcolutely right. Dan will answer you himself. As to me, I know that Penna University is very famous for its engineering programs. Hope, you had a pleasant birthday!
