Thank you for the request very nice to be in your contacts and thank you once again for listening to my post ...It was posted some time back nice to have feed back even now
You certainly can ask me any questions you want to. I hope my answers helped. I would love to travel to Thailand, but I probably can't afford it. I think it would be a beautiful country to visit. Hope to hear from you again.
I am glad to answer your question about how to use neither and nor.
Before you can understand neither/nor we need to talk about either/or. When we give a person a choice between two things we use either/or. I can say to you, "You can have either coffee or tea. I give you a choice, but I am not saying you can have both. You have to make a choice between one or the other. Another way to say it is,"Would you like either coffee or tea." We can use this with concepts or ideas as well. I can say, "You should either take medicine for your illness or you will suffer from your illness". You have only one choice between the two.
Neither/nor is used when you have no choice between two items, concepts or ideas. I can say, "I would offer you something to drink, but we have neither coffee nor tea in the house." Or I could say, "I like bananas, but neither my wife nor my children like them." I can also say, "Neither war nor famine will make me leave my country."
I hope this helps.
