Oh my goodness. You were in the Deep South. You were exposed to the southern dialect. When I was stopped over in Atlanta, GA I went to a restaurant called "Mo Bettah Chicken". I tried to order and could not even understand the person behind the counter. I ended up with the wrong order.
I am sure that was an interesting experience at Tulane. No wonder your English is so good.

Hi Tanya.. nice to meet you again here, especially you answered my question ..I hope, you are more fit and more well after having a vacation.. thank you for your suggestion..actually, I have had several TOEFL books, include Barrons's book..but, my big problem is listening . I have difficult to understand listening.. Almost every day, I watch BBC TV, CNN, Discovery Channel and others English Program, but I am still hard to understand what the anchor saying... I think, you are right, I have to practice more...
