  For the tag, well I cannot give a better explanation so I try to ask google and this is what I found.

  A tag is a small piece of card or cloth which is attached to an object or person and has information about that object or person in it.
  If you tag something , you attach something to it or mark it so that it can be identified later.
  A tag is a short quotation or saying.

  I always tag my blog to "correction" since I want others to correct my writing, misspelling or any unnatural expressions etc. I also tag it to the topic relates to my blog, for exemple when I write about Napoleon, I will tag it to biography, famous person, France, etc.
