Hi, Jo! Nice to meet you! My name is Tanya and I am a Ukrainian born American citizen. I teach English, too. And I have a question: have you ever had any experience teaching deaf people? I can teach them grammar, vocabulary, etc, but not phonetics. Most of them can read lips and speak. Those who were tought by speech therapists understand my explanations about pronunciation/articulation, but not all. Maybe, you can recommend me some sites or materials on this matter. Also, I am looking for some videos with subtitles where people speak English sign language. If you know any, please, give me some links. I think, we do the same business teaching people the language uniting all nations and helping them to realize our main values.
