  Yeah~at the beginning of learning english people like to choose a english name for themselves~
  I used to be a teaher of oral english~some of my students do not have a english name~then i would like to give him or her a english name~and most of times we choose the name with a similiar name as his or her Chinese name. Do you know Chinese? My chinese name is "竹林"，so consequently i chose "Bamboo" as my english name!
