  • Hi David,
First of all I would like to beg your pardon for delaying my response to your valuable, informative and rather detailed comments in response to my questions about your country's educational, economical and political situation.PLZ accept my heartiest thanks for your kind effort for me.
As for as my country Pakistan is concerned, her history requires a detailed article. However I try to sum it up briefly as under:
1.Advent of Islam in Arabia in 571 A.D.
2.conquest of the whole Arabian Peninsula including Egypt, Iraq,Syria ,Iran etc and establishment of Islamic kingdom which lasted for more than seven hundred years.
3.Conquest of most of African countries.
4.Establishment of Muslim kingdom in Spain which lasted for more than five hundred years. As Spain is in Europe, so this kingdom had a great effect on the Europe. This kingdom is responsible for the great progress of the European knowledge, technology and civilization.
The two kingdoms (one in Arabian Peninsula and second in Spain are the golden days of Islam.According to a great British writer,H.G. Wells,The Muslims did two great works first they preserved the Greek knowledge(by translating the books of Greek authors in to Arabic)This was done so devotedly that sometimes the translated book was weighed and the quantity of gold equal to the weight of the book was given to the translator as his reward. The second great work of the Muslims was that they added their own books on the variety of the topics. For centuries, the books of Muslims authors were taught in the universities of of the Europe as textbooks.
Today If the Europeans want to celebrate the 1000th birthday of a European Scientist,
they will have to wait for five hundred years(It means The history of the European science is less than 500 years while the Muslims celebrated the 1000th birthday of Al-Hazen(Ibnul Haisam) in 1970.He was a great optician who discovered the laws of the refraction of light
OK I think it is enough for today
    .
