Thank you Bill for your truthful comment. Same thing happened to me when I visited Orlando, Florida during last Spring Break. People there were very friendly, and offered me help all the time. I really hope I can visit some other cities in America and make some good friends. I will try my best to fit in and wish me good luck on finding patient native friends. Thank you very much for the kind wishes and encouragement. I believe you are a very good English teacher!
Yes, I underdtand exactly what you mean about living in NYC. I had some American friends back in China who are very very nice people. I had a high expectation before I came here, but then I found that people here are kinda indifferent. I don't want to offend anyone, and I don't refer to native Americans, but people who live in NYC in general. People here are always in a big hurry, and they don't have time to even listen to me if I speak not that fast. That's why I need to seek extra help from websites like My EC or kind teachers like you even I am already in a English speaking country. It is very nice of you that you volunteered youself to help others to improve their language skills. I wish I could have a teacher like you who can teach me practical English.
I'm happy to be your friend in EC
I got the language from my studying. so,my skills in reading and writing is better than other skills.
I need to improve my E quickly because I will study abroad and I interest to complete my study in USA.
These days I put a compact for myself to speak E as native speaker after one year from now. I try to achieve that by reading stories, subscribe in many E sites, writing letters, and so on.
I also try to do useful way for me that is reading in comic books which related to my field.
Thank you for the add. Living in NYC is such a bitter and sweet experience for me. I know Westchester~Are you living in Denver right now? Are you a English teacher for adult or k-12 level?
