I hope you can help me. I don't remember my english as well, because I lived in south america for many years since I was a child, but my father taught me a liltle english a long time ago, but it's not enough, beacuse in cleveland live my grandparents ,my friends, my cousins, and I want to improve my english. thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for your explaining.
I just read the ‘noticeboard’ in your profile and knew that you will be taking a vacation very soon. I really appreciate all great post and sharing experience that you have done in the past five year.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday with your family.
I am wondering it may be possible to keep in touch with you via email.
My email is: theresa.md@hotmail.com
I would like to thank you again for all your time.
hi Bill
Thanks a lot for the efforts you made to explain. what you have already said is totally right if we want to be fluent we have to spend a period of time in an english speaking country which is difficult since i can't afford it. however i m trying to be exposed to the language by watching english movies and english programs next to looking for english articles through the internet which i m using in class or in testing. i really feel that there's some progress but as you said i need feedback in writing and speaking. the problem is that right now i haven't found someone with whom i can speak and get feedback or write about any topic and get a comment on that. it's not enough to be all the time exposed without practice and use of the language and my problem lies there. i have "non native speaker friends" in this club but i don't think that speaking with them will improve or correct my pronunciation. most of the time i find myself correcting their mistakes instead of learning from them. now please bill i want you first to comment on my pieces of writing i mean those you have recieved from me right now (grammar + spelling). Then, could you be my tutor , is it possible to speak to you or do you have an idea about other sites where i can speak to native speakers. i still count on you.
may god bless you and thanks again for listening and caring
best regards
1. I would refer her to another suitable organization close to her place.
Can we say:
2. I would refer her to another suitable organization where is closed to her place.
Do we need to use "where" to replace "suitable organization"? I am confused when we have to use: which, that, who, whose, where. Could you please explain.
Thank you and kind regards
I would refer her to another appreciate organization close to her place. (the word appreciate doesn’t make sense here) / Which word can replace 'appreciate' here? Can we say 'suitable organization'?
