  Hello Ann, I think high school student in China and Russia share some similarity! When I was in the high school, private teachers' lessons were an essential part of your study course. Textbooks' knowledge is not enough. If you wanna be enrolled by excellent university, you should broaden your horizon. It seems like Russian students are really hardworking! My Russian teacher told me that the vast majority of Russian are well-educated. I think this is the treasure of Russia.

  Now I'm a junior in a university in Changchun. You know, in China education system maybe is different from Russia. Our high school education is divided into 2 parts: junior high school and senior high school. In China, when you are 9th grade, you should attend senior high school entrance test. You can choose local senior high school according to your score. When you are 12th grade, you will face the most important test in your life time: National College Entrance Test. When you finished National College Entrance Test, you should consider which university to choose. As you say you are considering which university to choose, do you think it's a little early? You are just 9th grade and it's faraway from graduation. Санкт-Петербургский государственный университет is a very famous university in the whole world. That is a good choice! You should work hard to accomplish your target!Ps: one of my classmate wanna apply for this university after graduation.
  After graduation, I wanna be a staff of Apple Store Shanghai. Have you ever visited Apple Center in Moscow？Shanghai is an emerging city which is full of opportunities and if you are lazy or incapable it‘s really hard to find a satisfied job.

  I remember the first time I listened the album of Evanescence is 2004. At that time I was a high school student. That album is really meaningful to me! You know, when you enter the door of senior high school means the step of college entrance test is getting closer and closer. That time is damned stressful! When I was not happy, that album is really helpful to release negative emotion. I love every song of that album! Hopefully they will release their new album in the upcoming autumn. Can't wait to download it!PS: I already listened a new single "Together again" via iTunes. It is an amazing follow up.
  Recently I am really into Trailer Choir, Andrea Ross, All Angels, Daughtry and Lykke Li. You can check out my favorite singers on my Englishclub page.Hehe! I prefer the music with beautiful melody or strong rhythm. It's hard to say which style I prefer.

  The artists you mentioned are really big names. And of course I'm familiar with them! But I think they can't classified as hard-rock. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and AC/DC are typical hard-rock bands. I'm a super fan of Evanescence! It seems been a long time that Evanescence haven't released their new album. What happened to them? Amy Lee is absolutely awesome! I love her cold and sonorous voice! Fallen is a perfect album! Which song of Evanescence do you like best?

  Seems like rap is popular among the young generation. Actually, rap is not my favorite music genre. In my opinion, currently most of rap contains too much violent and sex. I google the singers you mentioned. Wow! I noticed that Вера Брежнева is the former member of Nu Virgos. You know girls in Nu Virgos are really hot! But their music is not my favorite. It just like noisy techno music! haha. What kind of music do you like? By the way, I'm a super music fan. You know, I got 20GB of music in my iTunes library. I will always carry my iPod with me.   As for Russian，Wow！I just wanna say it‘s really difficult to learn, especially the grammar. You know, Russian grammar is very complicated and words have many forms. But I will try my utmost to figure it out! Russian old songs,such as Подмосковные вечер, Катюша,Молодая пряха and history of Russian are my favorite part. In my opinion, these old songs I mentioned is the treasure of glorious Russian culture. They are very classic! Can you give some recommendations about the best Russian pop music? I mean the most popular singer and hottest songs. Do not recommend Vitas. I'm familiar with his songs. He is absolutely fantastic!
