I need you here!

Hi guys! How are you doing? I’m doing great but busy.

I am afraid to tell you that this is the last month of our contest. I can’t handle it anymore for my limited time on internet. But I really don’t want the activities of this group stops. So, do have any idea?

Let me share mine first. I have been thinking of posting a new word daily, since the purpose of this group is to gather as many English words as possible, but in other ways. This word will not be posted only by me, but you can post yours too. If you learn a new word today, come here and share it with friends. We, as members, will discuss the word with you and trying to make examples. Also, we will try to develop the word together by writing its derivatives.

If you have any suggestion, please don’t hesitate to share it with us, no matter how simple it is.

    Let me say my idea too:

    We can make it like a puzzle.

    We share a new word in the group and we will wait to have the right answer. Everyone who answers it sooner will be our winner and s/he will get that lovely golden medal!

      Very nice try Javier. I do appreciate it. Can we move it to a separate discussion? but before that, I'd like to share one word .. "civilisation"

      It is a noun, pronounced /ˌsɪv.əl.aɪˈzeɪ.ʃən/, means human society with its well developed social organizations, or the culture and way of life of a society or country at a particular period in time. 

      e.g. We should be proud of having this kind of civilisation in the history of our country.

    Hello Skøøn and folks!

    Here is the Elephant into the Pottery!-) (Happily, Skøøn understands me, and Oksana's dog helps, maybe I could reach the idea-) Well, let me say:

    Could each one, who want to, select an article or a text selection in a online newspaper (not so long please–) paste it here (better than the link, but with the link inside, I believe) and the rest of us select words of the article (1-5 ?)  and do a comment with the meaning, explanation, examples, etc. of word's freely selected in the issue?

    How could we do it without lots of attention and work?

    It is evident we need a supervisor, Skøøn, dear, do you want to, please? ;–) Although we could organize it in other way (doing a public timetable i.e.)

    We could send a note to Skøøn. A note saying that me/you want to publish something or telling what you want to publish. Skøøn each week could write a list with people who want to publish, a numbered record.

    And the rest of folks to work on it.

    If someone better prepared could help to other, saying where he/she is having mistakes, how she/he could say the same thing but in other way,...(ideas please) it'll be great.

     

    Now, if I can ask, what we can do to give/get deserved points?
