Just a note of warning. I received a phony email today .. it looked like it came from My English Club but the sending address wasmail@englishclubdotcom.ning.comIt contained scripts that were no doubt bad news. Be careful of your emails.

Thank you Gary, thanks for your warning. You are quite right that there are phony emails and scams out there, and MyEC members should be careful about them.
However, the email address you mention (mail@englishclubdotcom.ning.com) is correct for email from My English Club. This is because My English Club is set up on a platform operated by Ning.com.
As a MyEC member you can control exactly what email you receive from MyEC by going to: Settings > Email
Be especially careful of any email (or comment or message on the website) that:
1: asks for or even talks about money
2: asks for your email address
3: asks for other personal information like home address, bank, passport etc
To report a member that you think is spamming or phony, please go to that member's page and click Report a Member.
