Hay everyone i would like to share my problem with you..
Learning linguistics is nightmare for me, actually i know and understand very well about this subject. However, i don't know the real function of this subject, so that it make me feels boring in the classroom.
Anyone can help me to explain the real function of this subject?

Practice and read, and then talk a lot in the class. To learn linguistic, we should do talking more than other subject. Tell them a story would be interesting. Not forget to tell enthusiastically.
This subject is for fixing the spoken language that usually get far from grammar rule, even further.. This subject is for understanding to write document, news, other written text formally. I like linguistic. It is an art for me. Nice discussion. :)

Very often, if students perceive their lessons as "boring", it's not the subject matter, but the way it is presented. For me as an English teacher, it's hard to understand how something that so closely relates to communication can be boring, but of course I am pretty biased...
Understanding Linguistics is needed to be able to communicate in a correct and clear way, and in that sense (with a little bit of imagination) you may even say that it is playing an important role in all democratic processes.
