"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious.
It is the only one international in scope.
It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small 'inside' group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of w

This chart is very interesting because it summarizes all the most important aspects which any learner wants to achieve at any point of your  life as student.

Analyzing the picture, I noticed how much I still need to get better as a "perfect learner". I'm just a newcomer when it comes to folow the rules expresses by this picture. For example, I nee

His movie "千と千尋の神隠し" won Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2002. I like his movies, especially "風の谷のナウシカ", "天空の城ラピュタ","千と千尋の神隠し".

Hey all, I have decided to bring back the Did You Know? series when every time I read something interesting, I kept on saying to myself, 'This is nice to be shared as Did You Know? series'. This was also because of my small chat with a respectable chatter, Asif Ali, Zindani.

Did you know that there are many idioms or expression based from myth or legend. Here I want to share some of them with you.

Thank you rysperski and Asif Ali, Zindani.for sharing some other expressions/idioms that are based fr

Learning English. When do you stop learning?.

While recent research claim that you can “learn english” in 2-3 years, other companies may promise you intensive six-month courses where you’d end up being “bilingual”, or they pull methods out of their hat in which you can be able to learn english quickly and just knowing a limited amount of words, I still wonder, year after year, if some day I’d say that about “I can speak english”. Because if I’ve learned something over the 5 years that I’ve been

My good friend Shelly Terrell shared this useful Infographic today. A lot of these points are useful for MyEC members. Is there anything you disagree with? What did you learn from this infographic? Are you a good digital citizen?

Yeah that's it. The Summer is coming to the end! The Autumn is coming in .. with rainy days and winds blowing stronger. With leafs coloring and birds flying to warmer places. Not long till the first snow will fall down.

When I wake up in morning I can feel that it's getting colder, mornings get darker and nights are longer. Why the Summer goes so fast? Why is it so short?

Let's bring the sun in our hearts and keep it warm through the cold and rainy days

I read this very informative and helpful advice in my Facebook page, posted by my various friends. Therefore, I did not authored nor researched this scientific and helpful advice on how to measure your diabetes levels.

Hello everybody here,  as there are already a few weeks  I've  been thinking about the world of the English language, and then crossed my mind to answer the question: why English is considered a major language? What can have lead to that? So, these are just the questions I want to explicit  here. At first, It could be a curious question, but the reasons for this event make sense when you get to know them  deeply . So, I will try to show for you some of that reasons through my post today, in ord

Today (I waited for changing to new day to post this blog), September 2, 2013, is the 68^th anniversary Vietnam’s Indepence Day. The Declaration of independence of Vietnam was announced by the president Ho Chi Minh on September 2, 1945, in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh Square.

There are  many activities and cultural events organized to celebrate this day including granting amnesty for prisoners. The national flags ( my avatar) have been hung up everywhere these days .

I just got the congratulations from Noaslpl

You may have noticed the Tags when you were publishing a blog post. Tags are just some of the key words from your blogs. Some members may add “correction” or “corrections” to the tags, which means they will appreciate corrections made by other members (usually, English teachers, native English speakers or advanced learners).

Some members, however,  may find it embarrassing to be corrected that way (in public) - they may send their blogs to a teacher for correction (in private).

When I was a child, I intended to be a pilot of  modern airplanes. Let me explain: I have always liked the exciting world of aviation: modern aircrafts, great airlines and respectful aeronautical industries like Airbus or Boeing, by the way, keep on being them, the most preferred factories  by me,  when it comes to the production of airplanes. I even started a collection of airplane magazines called "Flap Magazine" in my young ages, that today, unfortunately, is finished up.

  Nowadays, my plans

War is a crime against humanity.

It brings death and destruction.

It brings pain and sorrow.....and tears.

It may make some people feel victorious,

but it never brings happiness.

Let's imagine for a moment,

that someone has attacked your beloved homeland,

or any place on earth where you are residing.

Let's imagine for a moment,

the fear that has started to surround you upon hearing such a heart wrenching news.

Let's imagine for a moment....just a single moment,

Someone is about to shoot your beloved mother

Well..i want to ask you something.
