A few years ago, I traveled to England from Canada to do a special presentation about MyEC. I talked to hundreds of teachers about how I blog with English learners on EnglishClub. It was a fantastic experience, and many teachers vowed to get their students blogging when they returned to their own countries.

One thing that teachers were really excited about was a concept that we introduced long ago on MyEC:

No Blog Left Behind

I explained that we (admin, mods, bloggers) do our very best to make sur

Two boys were mistakenly shot to death

An American seventeen years old boy was mistakenly shot by a policeman in the USA and died. When the policeman visited the boy's house, the boy had a Wii remote control in his hand. The policeman mistook it for gun and shot him. It's a tragdy. When the policeman realized his mistake, he broke down crying. The boy had joined the Reserve Officers' Training Corps and his friends say " He was a good guy".
In 1992, a Japanese foreign student was shot to death by a man in the USA. This tragdy was also

One more question: Do you think the countries should be ranked by all of their medals or only by the gold ones on the Olympic medal count/table?

Check out the Yahoo medal count and the BBC medal table, you'll find the difference.

Kiev is on Fire. Who is Guilty?

My dear friends! Today I can't stand writing this blog! My city is on fire. Look at these pictures.

It's how it looked about 3 months ago

And what it looks like today

Kiev is my native city, it is unique as many other old European  cities. It is used to be called "Mother of all Russian towns" and that is true, because it gave the beginning to the first East Slavic State known as Kiev Russ. For you to know, it was Ukraine that gave birth to Russia without knowing that it was pregnancy with dreadful

Let me share with you my most favorite prayer (Dua) equally famous in India and Pakistan, written by Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, ( 1877 - 1938)  well known as Allama Iqbal. This prayer is chanted/ recited in assembly hall of primary and secondary schools every morning. Someone has nicely translated in English.

Let's pray it together!

My longing comes to my lips as supplication of mine
O God! May like the candle be the life of min

May the world's darkness disappear through the life of mine!

What can and can’t they do?

What can and can’t they do?

Every child who comes into this world is born in the religion of Nature irrelevant of the religion of his/her parent. But “Can” & “Can’t” “Do’s” & don’ts” chase him from the cradle to the grave. In his infancy he tries to understand the movement of his mother’s finger moving right and left showing “don’t” or “can’t”. For a child is inquisitive of any particular action of which he himself does not know about, but “don’t’” is there before him. When the child gets older

In a sunny Afternoon

"What a sunny and warm afternoon, in such a day, mind innately becomes soft, right?" It was Tintin's first thought after a short nap." But what I can do now, would it be a nice thing if I ring my best friend while she may be sleeping. The day was really hard for us, hard and tedious."

" Is it true, if I place some sands into a snail and put it again in my  Grandpa's  pond, it will give me a pink or while little pearl!" " I have to find my younger brother to ask him." " But where is he righ

For The Sports Fans Of English Club

This is a story that involves an American sporting legend. Most of you that weren't born upon American soil have never heard of him. He wasn't an athlete in the traditional sense. He didn't become famous for his athletic efforts on a soccer field, baseball diamond, or American Football Field.

His name was Dale Earnhardt.

Dale-Earnhardt-Sr_91.jpg

He grew up in the American Southeast. Kannapolis, North Carolina was his hometown.

The Twelve Tenses Clock

The twelve tenses used to differentiate the time of action (verbs) can be taught in an easier approach using the 'clock' method. While all separate quarters of the clock maintain the (3) present, past and future tenses, they can be subdivided into four groups (quarters); the (3) Simple tenses, (3) Continuous tenses, (3) Perfect tenses and (3) Perfect Continuous tenses.

We can then elaborate with examples of sentences for each tense and show students the clear difference between the twelve tenses
