What I usually do on Sundays.

On Sundays I get up late. If I wake up early I like to lie in bed and read a book or listen to the radio. When I get up, I have a cup of coffee and talk to my friend. We always cook a big meal on Sundays for all the family. We have lunch quite late because nobody is hungry until then.

After lunch, we usually go for a drive in the car to the sea or the mountains. Sometimes we go and visit our parents who are old now.I like visiting them because they need our help and support . They always give us

Connect 4 is a geometrically more complex version of the X-O game. The player's goal needs to be 4 horizontal/vertical/diagonal rows of the same color, however the connect 4 game is played as a drop, not a put, so the player needs to have visual thinking to find the moves. . What do I do?

I feel very disappointed. I want to speak in English, but I do not find anyone in my community or at work who speaks.
Only when I watch movies I want the old spirit to be revived within me. I used to like to think in the English language.
I find meanings and vocabulary that I have never used before. What do I do?

A quick review about tonight's study content. The first one is the demonstrative determiner. As "demonstrative" means to make something clear, it is obvious that its function is to make the following content more clear. For example, I will go shopping on the weekend. But it is ambiguous to know the exact date. After replacing "the" with "this", you will know immediately that it refers to the closest weekend. Another one is the possessive determiner which is explained well in EnglishClub tutorial

As the topic says, I am going to write a tip about translating the pronoun in English to Chinese properly. Here is an example sentence: "The poems really come to life when they are recited." It is clear to read it in English. We all know that the function of the pronoun is to replace a repeat ed noun. The pronoun "they" in the sentence refers to "poems". But in Chinese, we usually use "poems" directly instead of "they". So the formal translation of the Chinese version is "当人们朗诵诗歌的时候,诗歌才真正活起来。"

Sleep

WHY WE SLEEP

Scientists have proposed the following theories on why humans require sleep:

  • Sleep may be a way of recharging the brain. The brain has a chance to shut down and repair neurons and to exercise important neuronal connections that might otherwise deteriorate due to lack of activity.
  • Sleep gives the brain an opportunity to reorganise data to help find a solution to problems, process newly learned information and organise and archive memories.
  • Sleep lowers a person's metabolic rate and energ

Today, I recited 8 new words and reviewed the Noun grammar in EnglishClub's Grammar Topic. I almost forget all grammar in my head. But EnglishClub's articles are really simple and

Many people left us in 2023. My niece Mariam. She was the mother of Al-Hilal Sudanese team player, the late Walideen. My father-in-law, Ali Farrat. They were not as famous as Hollywood stars, such as Raquel Welch, Tina Turner, Jim Brown, David MacCallum, Lisa Marley, Mathew Perry, and the lovely, Gina Lollobrigida.

There was a famous Japanese master of Japanese martial arts. He had a lot of disciples. One day, they were separated into two groups and argued. One group went to the master and told him about the other group's faults. The other group did the same thing. Both groups asked the master which group was right. The master thundered out to them, "You only talked about the faults of others and didn't talk about your own faults." He said, "When everybody admits their own faults first,  there will be no
