  • Thank you, Martin.
  • Let's work on another one:
Prepare your own bottle filled with water from home or public areas where provide drinking fountains instead of buying bottled drinks from stores when going outside since making bottled drinks would take much more resources to produce.

This sentence is long and can be divided into two to avoid confusion. (at since)
  • The first part is good. The second half of the sentence needs fixing still. It can be rewritten in a simple way. In fact, you don't even need this part. The reason is obvious. But, if you want to include the reason here is one example of how you could fix it:
so that would reduce trees to be cut being tissue.
="to reduce the amount of trees being cut down for tissue"
If you want to use "so that" you could write this : "so that fewer trees would be cut down for tissue".

Great work Grace! Thanks for following up with corrections.
  • I am thankful for your comment, Maheshl.

You also do a good job to apply them to your daily life, Skyandhill.
  • Dear Tara,
I've fixed #2 sentence again, please kindly help to check if they are correct.
    Thanks a lot.
  • I agree with your opinion, Jeffery and thanks for your photo. Many years ago, I went to China, I saw a lot of people biking on the street, however, the economy is getting better nowaday, you can see more vehicles or cars than before. It's a question that we may need to think about that.
  • 'Being friendly to our environment' It is a good topic and related to the sustainable development of mankind. I can't agree more with you to your 7 secrets in protecting our environment. That is important for us individuals to behave ourselves in the daily life. Of course, discipline and law are indispensible. However, self-control is more important. Let's behave ourselves at the moment to live a 'low-carbon' life.

  • Great work!

Okay, let's look at #2 now:
    2. Using handkerchiefs instead of tissue paper when sweating or cleaning the mouth that will reduce trees to be cut being tissue.

In a list like this you need the base form of the verb. You are offering instructions (just like a recipe). Try splitting this sentence in two.
  • Dear Tara,
It's ok, many thanks for your time to give the comment here. I'll try to take your advice usng a poster to catch your eyes next time. ^_^

I've tried to fix the places where you've pointed out. Please kindly check if I got the point. Thank you.
  • Fantastic post! Sorry I missed this one. Maybe a poster would have helped. :) This subject is dear to my heart. : ) I am not very good at #4 and #6. You have inspired me to do better. Thanks so much for taking the time to write your secrets, Grace.

Re Corrections:Let's work on the first point in your list (great idea by the way).

    1. Recycle / Reuse: I get used to reuse papers, which are printed only one side, or papers from leaflets or calendar. I like dividing them into many pieces of papers to be memoranda or small notebooks. And recycling after they are garbage.

In sentence 1 try to fix the words in bold. Sentence 2 is okay, but it is not a complete sentence. Check the verb form. Let me know when you've tried to fix these. Cheers!
