- In the past, I divided my university courses into important and unimportant ones. Then, I worked hard towards mandatory courses and ignored the unimportant ones. So, I end up getting very good marks for my mandatory courses, but very low mark for easy ones. As such, my Grade Point Average came down.
Lesson: There are no important or unimportant courses. All of them are significant! Work hard no matter what kind of course you have!

 2346263197?profile=original

I'm certain that there are a lot of poor children who want to learn but they couldn't attend school because:

1. They prefer to work in order to sustain or provide a living for their family.

2. Because of poverty, many women and children are become victims of sexual exploitation and prostitution.

3. Those young children could be the next generation of scientists, educators, or lawyers but have limited access of support because they are living in far away islands and have no means to reach them.

After 5 months of NATO's bombing of military personnel and civilians in Libya, the Libyan government has today struck back as promised by detonating a sizable bomb in Oslo, Norway, between the Oil Ministry and a government building housing the prime minister, presumably regarded as a command and control centre. Norway is a member of NATO and has been actively participating in the NATO campaign against Libya. Like most of the other participants, Norway has major interests in the oil industry.

--immigrant: someone who lives in another country permanently

--domestically: in one particular country

--accommodation: place to live, stay, etc

2346256340?profile=originalMany of you learn English through EnglishClub.com's Weekly News. I have been reporting the world news for many years now. English Club used to have the Monthly News Digest. It had four stories from the previous month. This year we changed the format to a weekly news report. I add one new story every Tuesday.

This year is the most exciting year. Do you know why? A group of MyEC members are using English Club's weekly news for pronunciation practice! If you haven't visited the Audio Speaking Group

Are you a chocolate lover?

2346256551?profile=original  Chocolate has a variety of brands, textures, and types. But, why is it one of the favorite desserts of every person? People, young and old find eating chocolate is an indulging experience. It actually depends on the brand and type we eat.

I think one of the best types of chocolate is the dark chocolate. Some of my favorite brands are Patchi and The Old Gold Original Dark Chocolate of Cadburry. Researchers say that eating dark chocolate (about 100 mg per day) would help prevent certain cancers

Happy Birthday dear Canadaaaaaaa
Happyyyy Biiiiiirthdayyyy toooo youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”

"Yeahhhhhhh", shouted the people.

This was what Canadian citizens and I sang on Friday, July 1, to celebrate Canada Day. In the beginning, Canada wasn’t a united country. Instead, it was consisted of different and separated provinces. In 1867, all the provinc

Old Clocks

I love old clocks. I lie in bed, restless, craving for sleep, staring with my sick of staring eyes in the nothingness and I can hear the seconds bursting dead in black silence and falling slowly down as snowflakes and then, only then you can FEEL time. Nowadays nobody teaches the children that the clocks make that tic-tac sound because they…don’t make that sound any more, do they? What we have is numb clocks.

I love old phones. The ones with the old dials. You put your finger in the hole and di

2346251470?profile=originalDo you remember, Tara wrote a post about William and Kate's wedding which took place in London more than a month ago and asked you  your thoughts about it.

Today, i 'm going to talk about the second "Prince" wedding of the year, the one that took place 2 days ago in the Principality of Monaco.

First, let me tell you a few things about this tiny and very rich country.

Today's Lunch

I went to a convenient store and bought cup "yakisoba".

2346248710?profile=original

It's regular price was 198 yen ($2.5), but I bought discounted one.

I got it for 138 yen. About 30% off! Yay!
2346248777?profile=original

How to make cup "yakisoba"

1 Pull back the lid to one-third of the total.

2 Take out some small packets from inside.

2346248601?profile=original

DO NOT EAT

This is just a seal of anime characters.

Normal cup "yakisoba" doesn't have this kind of things!
However, this product is a made of collaboration with anime, "K-ON!!".
So, it might be a good bonus for "K-ON!!" fan
