Hello clubbers, this week I want to leave for you a travelling hint to dream, and why not to come true it .
I introduce the beautiful tourist destination of Hvar in Croatia.
First, I have to mention that Croatia has over 1,000 islands and sure, an exuberant nature. In summer the Sun rises at 5 AM and sets between 9/10 PM. It's a sunny place to be really!
Localization
Hvar Islands is located in Dalmatia region, to the South of Croatia. It's worth remembering that Croatia has more than 1,000 km of coastline, which can be explored by car.
The Island
With about 68 km lenght, the island has 4 cities and several villages. The most crowded city by tourists in Hvar Island, is the own Hvar city. This city is the most of hotels and a developed trade. There's also a intense harbor with restaurants and shops, which sell natural products.
Main attractions
It's just impossible not to admire the clear water of Adriatic Sea. Some beaches are virtually deserted. Among rises, falls and bends you'll likely feel the pleasing perfume of lavanda's plantations.
Hvar's tastes
Don't leave to try out the olive olis from the country, which are found at supermarkets and market-places.
Local currency
The local currency is called "kuna". Currently, 1 euro is equivalent to 7.5 kunas.
When to go
Croatia is privileged to have winters with soft temperatures and lenghty summers. As from April the weather is already too pleasant. August is the more busy month, because of the european tourists go to there in its holiday season.
How to get around there
There's no minimum need to use car in Hvar, but as there are far beaches, you can rent scooters, motorcycles or even boats.
What to do there
It can be suggested the following rides:
- Tour through nearby islands, like the islands " Pakleni Otoci";
- Visiting to the "Lozna" and "Jagodna" beaches;
- Get to know the "Dubovica" beach, more accessible than the previous beaches, because by foot, is about 1 km from Hvar city, so you can reach it easily. It's needed to park at roadway and follow downhill to get to it ;)
- Get to know the city of "Stari Grad" (which It stands out for its alleys);
- Visit the street market-place in Hvar ( vegetables, greens besides bakeries and dairies);
- Take a round through the Hvar's old city stairways;
Ok, here I finish my travelling post of this week, but I'm focused on my next post! Bye bye!
