Chatting at the moderated room.

Chatters make the bee line  to the room  to relax , enjoy , have  fun and also discuss many topics of interest.....

Of course in any community or group of people they have to interact and see eye to eye...

Many are very happy to relax, and have casual talk which is nice.Imagine non stop of serious topics, it will be so boring. yet one should also  remember why we are here. In that  space of time when we are together online, regular topic of interests  must be discussed which gives a solid feed back . While doing  this  the silent observer of the chat room  should never  disturb  the active members  right then. Rather  read and then come in quietly with a formal hi and a brief view of the topic concerned. This leads in shredding out our shyness, gaining confidence getting introduced to new friends. Above all in an English platform practicing and developing English with fun.  The main reason to why we all are here ,an International community joining hands through all barriers at My EC

Though casual , friendly and with no specfic  topic, people develop their vocabulary build up their  confidence.Freinds are indentified  on room people relax with those whom they feel comfortable with  , entwine themselves  and develops topics of interest. It is more intersting when many join ,giving in to the others  respecting their space sying oops when the other says your butting in to my space! As to what one member said angrily to me, the other day when I sad hi to the room.

I know many observers feel it is not worth joining in at the mains, do give it a try say the first hello on and off and you  will find a group of people of people you are comfortable with, and believe me there is no looking back, when you get good friends to communicate meaningfully.

I know very well how it feels in  interrupting, as it  does lose focus on topic, so it would be better if we read what is on the mains  and also make it a point to be polite and say excuse me may I ....

Some times  there  are many chatters having their dialog, immune to the numbers at the Mains, though It may look like a circus, it does go amicably well, using the mains as the platform.

Over the period of the history of the room, people come and go new comers joining in fresh as ever, it is up to the older hands  to help them out if they go wee bit away from the rules. Tell them on private before taking any harsh decision on reporting :like as a big  loving family we  have to be patient and enduring .. too.

At our moderated chat room it is  a fun place to practise  English without exactly learning English as in the classroom. We should always  keep in mind to respect  the silent observer and the active chatters, by keeping only to English.

Why? as the other day one new comer asked me, why they could not talk in their language! Fair enough I told him our club is an English site.Of course after which, he adhered to the rules.

Surely it is rude to blabber in detail on the mains in another language, again you may ask me  why ?The reason so we must  always keep in mind  up the standard of our club and  the reason why it was created by Mr Josef  and all the  efforts of  the people who work behind round the clock in keeping it of international repute.

Easy as this members are here  to relax, and quench thier thirst in Englsih ....they do not need a dosage of another  language ,which could be accessed in their respective links.

Since of late I noticed petty arguments  leading to misunderstanding  people impersonating to get back at each other .

Surely we are here to relax and be happy . Okay there is  no serious topics all the time  but bondage of love and freindship should always be kept in mind and respect to each others privacy and space.

A new comer  makes an error the rest should  also know to resolve amicably. There is a saying first impression lasts, it is something like that the firstmeeting if one is able to get along with civility and freindship and understanding, there will be not much of clashes, and will prevent old and new members leaving  due to this.

The silent observer observing the clashes with no forgiveness at the end , too gets fed up of coming to the chat link, thus depriving others pleasure in using their precious leisure time at the moderated chat room of My EC.

Woah! I think I have written enough for today , the next topic will be about the rights of being verbally  abused

Any feed back will be much appreciated:)

  • thnks for this topic Nadira :)
  • Nadira!  You are unique!!!!!!  You read my mind. I made a copy- list and reread several times, today.Of course, communication isn't always between two individuals and group of people.Behaviour partly depends on the various signals you give:

The style of language you use and the words you choose:

It's important to make sure that other people feel comfortable talking to you and don't feel that you're competing with them.

I keep to your point, my dear friend, I am sure it's a good idea to stay in contact with friends regulary.      Thanks..........
