Labor law in Japan regulate the time workers can work, which is within 40 hours and are given a day off in a week. Most companies decide their employee's work time as eight hours per day, five days per week. However managers and workers who have particular skills are excluded in this rule because they are allowed to determine their own work time.

In the last ten years, there has been a problem whereby employers or managers make their employees work more hours than specified by the law. There have

I become immortal

"I " this word has power in itself. People usually used it for themselves. I am perfect, I want this so  "I" never ends in their lives.....These kinds of people can't gain anything in life when they don't want to share with others....."I" is nothing. You become precious when you deliver something, share something whether its your smile, knowledge or wealth.......The journey of becoming immortal  never ends when u leave to be I.........

Hi, my friends! It is spring again! It always makes us feel more romantic and playful. So, I think nobody minds my posting this blog.

I believe despite being a teacher, I can write some funny blogs from time to time. So, one of Mary’s blogs as well as my present family situation makes me write something funny to relieve the stress.

Most of young people always ask themselves if they want to have kids and if they are ready for that. I have never asked that question as I have always known I don't wan

Touchy Hearts

Touchy heart can't control tears.  Tears roll down the brims of eyes breaking the boundary of tolerance.  Do you know why hearts become touchy and sensitive?  Because they become weak after being broken down to pieces.  Then the tears come down just for nothing, for one can't bear the mere jokes and argument like before.

Only a few more months until summer vacation! Not that I’m counting or anything …
If you teach in Chinese public schools, when the students are on holiday, so are you! Different schools have various vacation dates, but you should have roughly two months to do whatever you want during summer vacation. Since you are a brave expat who moved all the way to China to experience new cultures, I bet I can guess what you want to do with those two months.

Travel and Teach English in China

Yes, you can take

Ineffective Magic

People say I am a magician, I have art of poetry, in fact it is nothing but an incomplete line of a song, in which there is no balance of meaning and rhythm. It is just like a play of which there is no ending is suggested.  Yes this is the magic of love I have which I have learned after a hard struggle. But this gift of magic of love is very strange.  I do not understand what it is in real.  Is this a blessing the fate bestowed upon, or a punishment the Nature inflicted me with? My story is very

A Poem

This just a sharing for poetry lover of beautiful poem by Susan Christensen

Let me tell you about a game I play
Where I close my eyes and fade away

I float away to a special place
Beyond the stars and moon and space

In this special place you see
There are only two people - just you and me

In this place, all is right
Nothing but love, and we never fight

In this place, there is no sadness
No cells, no courts, none of that madness

No rules to follow, no laws to break
No bars to hold us or sep

Last week, I read a nice joke that I want to share with you. I translated it from German to English.

Here you go.

A wise Englishman was once asked what the difference between English, Irish and Scottish was.

He replied with the following example:
"If in England you ask for more sugar for tea at an invitation, the housewife fishes a very small piece out of the can.

In Ireland, hand them the sugar bowl and ask you to help yourself.

If one says in Scotland that the tea is not sweet enough, the housewife

Two old grumps meet up and sit on a park bank for hours each single afternoon. Since they feel a bit like there was nothing worth to talk about they used to sigh once a day saying ok. One ok each not more. And before going home they say: see you tomorrow. And that is the whole talk of them. One day one of them thought he´d asked his companion whether he could bring a third old grump. expecting some new ideas the companion agreed and hence the next day the third grump joined them both. The first

Words can be as sharp as the blade of a razor.
They can hurt us, and some of them cut durable wounds in our soul. Words can hurt the same as physical violence.
It hurts that more if someone hurts us we trusted.
The fading or even healing of that kind of wounds takes a lot of time.
Each wound leaves a scar that remains forever.
We can not feel them by touching like wounds on the skin.
Wounds of our skin fade with the time and the most of them will also disappear completely.
Not so the scars in

Moderator News

Sadly, GRACE has had to give up as a volunteer Photo Moderator. For personal reasons and her heavy workload, Grace cannot give the time to moderating photos that she feels members need. That's a shame because she helped many members with advice on their photo titles and descriptions. If it's me moderating, I just delete pics without titles as they break the rules! Luckily I don't moderate photos very often and your kind and generous photo mods take time to help members when they can. Grace has b

Good morning everyone!

I guess you already know that our photo Mod, Grace, relinquished photo moderator. She had been a photo moderator for years, I'm not sure how many years exactly, anybody knows? :) Since I became a member of MyEC for almost four years, she always inspired me and many members (I'm sure) to be active in photo section. Her photo challenges are really super creative and oftentimes she greatly appreciated members' photos. Her positive posture and warm friendship really touched eve
