Well, today is the first day of China's New Year, the Year of the Snake. We have been celebrating on and off since Monday the 4th, and have been having a great time.

I was invited several times this week to have lunch or dinner with Headmaster and his family. On Friday I went to dinner. Some traditional foods were served. Always there is fish, pork, beef and chicken and a variety of veggie dishes and of course it would not be a meal without the dumplings. Headmaster doesn't

After stumbling across destructive advice, licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Kelly Flanagan writes a letter to his daughter about what really matters in a relationship.

Dear Cutie-Pie,

Recently, your mother and I were searching for an answer on Google. Halfway through entering the question, Google returned a list of the most popular searches in the world. Perched at the top of the list was “How to keep him interested.”

It startled me. I scanned several of the countless articles about how to be sex

It's A Small World.

2346573930?profile=originalThe more I travel the more I realize just how small this world really is. I have lived in many countries in my lifetime. (And yes, I am old, but don't ask.) Each new place is as amazing as the last. Every country has wonderous places to visit. Each country has beautiful and interesting places to explore.

But more importantly than the places are the people. We see and hear so many bad things happening in the news. I wonder, who the people in these countries really are. Do they have the same hopes

She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He's always there for her.

She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she can see everything, including her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"

Hello, there!

I often hear people pronouncing the word 'Skype' as /ˈskaɪpi/. Usually, I tell them politely that the letter 'e' in this brand name is 'silent'. Thus, we should say /skaɪp/.

To my amusement, some of them take note of what I say while the others dispute my claim. Here's a video that I stumbled on just now. It tells us how the word in question is actually pronounced. Shall we listen to it, guys?

Now, do you know any other commonly used words that often confuse us? If you do, please sh

My Sparrows

I shifted into a new house with my parents. It was a first floor house with a nice veranda and a terrace. After all the unpacking of things,  we settled in  a few days.  Soon I realized that we were not the only occupants of that place; there was a couple too, a pair of sparrows.

The sparrow couple perched at ventilator of the wall, and were planning to reside at the ventilator.  There early morning chirping would wake me too. The early risers, at day break would start there
