Lonely River (Poem)

Lonely River

Near dawn, quite mist, she dreamed

Glistening crystals, the white river streamed

Alone by the waters, her attention caught

The vision of only him, and only him, she thought

Full moon shining, a memorable sight

The now lonely girl, on that beautiful night

Across the river, the object then dimmed

The sight she saw, the memory, was him

Okay this is a simple but (i think) a funny game:

You just have to name here your 3 favorite animals (in order, first the one you like most and then the others) and it's also important that you write briefly the reasons why you like those animals (different reasons for different animals)

After writting your answer, read what it's written at the bottom of this post (please don't cheat! don't read it before!) Maybe your answers will help you to know something new about yourself ;)

P.S. Anyway, th

Long Time No See

Hello.
How's my EC family? I missed you guys so much.

My page look so dead. In the meantime, so much things has happened. I'm in the last year of my graduation so I have to work harder to get good grades and also to get admission in masters.
I have one good news too and that is, my sister has now become a mother. She gave birth to a boy on 23rd August. I'm so happy.

My second sister is getting married in November. And the problem is that my exams and her wedding are falling on the same date. And

For example, Japanese can hear call of cats like "nya nya", English speakers can hear that like "mew mew". Dogs sound like this in Japanese "wan-wan", and like this in English speakers "bow-wow". Roosters sound like this in Japanese "kokekottuko"、 and like this in English speakers "cock-a-doodle-doo". Sheep sound like this in Japanese "mee", and like this in English speakers "baa". Frogs sound like this in Japanese

At first glance, the title would let you think it is purely a religious topic, but in fact it is not.

I have to mention first that I’m neither an Islamic scholar nor a preacher. I’m just presenting my view and you have all the right to agree or disagree with.

When I joined EC, it was very interesting and amusing to meet lots of people from all over the world. People who are from different countries and have different views, cultures, religions and backgrounds.

It was a great chance to know more ab

Dear Captain,

Fay came to visit me again. But this time she came alone. She told me a piece of bad news and a piece of good news.

The bad news was she had been sad for a long while because she broke up with her first lover, the cook who came to visit me with her last time when I celebrated my birthday. Fay didn't tell me the reason though.

The good news was she came out of those sorrowful days and she engaged herself to a military man. Next year when the spring comes back she will marry him. So I w

What Would You Do?

One thing, we need to do, is have changes.

Never showing your true self, always hiding, stuck like a mole in a hole in our little cages.

Never showing who we are, do we know what we will become,

what if…

we are…

destined to be the same.

What do I want me to be?  What can I do?  Where do I begin?  Where should I start?  Should I change my name?  Should I

Dear Captain,

It has been a while since last time I wrote to you. Don't worry, everything is fine.

Captain, I have a question to ask. How do you think of changing? With the rapid development, people's concept is changing also. For me, changing many times brings new stuff. So it is not bad to change for people or the society. Yet we have to admit some new stuff isn't good.

In the past days, each time when I went back home, my friends would say, "Oh, Nikita, you are changing." I felt uneasy for such

When you were born, you were crying

And everyone around you was smiling

Live your life so at the end

You’re the one who is smiling and everyone

Hello members
I am sure, nobody will deny the beauty of this quotation "Be yourself", but whenever jealousy grows in us, we put aside all moral lessons and begin degrating others. If we start criticizing envious people, there will be no difference left between them and us. So let's talk about its solutions, agree?. To the best of my humble observation, there are two methods of remedying jealousy. One method has been extracted from Islamic viewpoints and other is general and anyone can apply it.

One night (a few months ago), I was sitting on my back porch and joking around with some of the EC members while posting. Most of you who know me well are aware of the fact that I'm not much of an English Teacher and simply enjoy chatting here while doing my level best to help out when time allows. Writing and being creative is a part time hobby of mine. Yet, this is a true story and I'm composing it in a serious manner.

Anyway,... These strange orange lights appeared on my southern horizon with

On the third day of last Eid Mubarak, my niece got married. In this blog, I want to share with you the typical Malay wedding reception. This blog will be in two parts; Part One : The Engagement and Part Two : The Wedding

Part One : The Engagement

Before I tell you about the wedding itself, let me tell about the engagement ceremony. For a Malay lady, the engagement ceremony is elaborate and still as traditional as it was years ago. When a Malay man wants to ask a hand of marriage for a particular l

The rose in your garden

Next life,I will be a rose plant growing in your garden. Every day, you and your wife and your kids and your dog will play in the garden, you will laugh happily. When you and your family pass me, i will feel so happy. I will long out of the most beautiful leaves, blossom the most beautiful flowers to welcome you. Of course all the family won't know me. Even the most dear you won't know who I am. It will make me a little sad.But it doesn't matter. As long as i can see you, I will be the happiest pl

The Young Prince and his Great Love

A long, long time ago, over seven seas, seven mountains and seven rivers in the ancient land of Elam, somewhere between Anshan and Susa or maybe even farther, lived a young Prince in his magnificent castle overlooking picturesque valleys with blue skies high above and white clouds lazily floating in the warm wind blowing over green fields where rivers used to run.

He was the happiest person on earth for he had met the love of his life. Not

Loneliness

Feeling alone though there are a lot of people around you is the worst feeling. Today is Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam. It's also the first festival I have joined in the US. No moon cake, no lanterns, no friends, no family ... I feel cold inside and outside. However, I can't share my feelings to anyone ... I don't know how to share but the most important thing is I don't really want anyone to know my feeling . Don't want to bother anyone. It's true that I always struggle myself ... I have just
