Who Is Happy?

Who is Happy?

A Crow lived in the Forest and was absolutely satisfied in life.

But one day he saw a swan…

This swan is so white and I am so black… crow thought.

“I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors.

I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation.”

The Crow then approached the parrot.

A Corpus Study using Ngram Viewer

You may know that corpus means body. A corpus of literature means a body of literature and is mainly used to indicate the words in that literature.

There are many Corpus studies to compare changes in language and to study how often a word is used. I have been using a tool from Google (Ngram Viewer) to compare words and their change in usage over time. I think you might enjoy using this Ngram Viewer tool which gives instant results based on the books that Google has scanned into their Google Books

My innocent Indian English...

When I say ‘your good self’ you call me a flattering Indian. But really you are good in the crowd for me.
When I say ‘your esteemed self’ you say I am lying. But really you are esteemed among all those, for me.
When I say ‘your good institution’, I do not cajole, but consider your’s a really good since there are many those I cannot call good.
When I ask 'What's your good name?', I sprinkle lot of optimism that a nice person like you should have equally nice name!
Still raising your eyebrows? Plea

Hello everyone,

After a long time, I have made an attempt to check my poetic skill, whether a small poet is still alive in me or not. So, please read and let me know your opinions.

Being arrogant is not the matter of dare;

An appropriate line of tolerance I can share
Whether you believe me or not I do not care.

Pope Francis, the highest leader of the Catholic Church had a rare chance to visit the Philippines last month. Many devotees eagerly waited for him in Villamor Airbase while others glued to their TV screens (I myself was included). As the aircraft taxied to the tarmac, loud screams transcended in every corner of the airport as well as during his motorcades. Prior to his visit here, he traveled to Sri Lanka where he showed solidarity to the victims of civil war.

Since I couldn't travel to Manila,

National Day in Japan, February 11

I'm blogging again because today we have a national holiday in Japan.  Today is National Day or National Foundation Day.

Some people think that the origin of National Day dates back to 1946 when the new Japanese Constitution was approved by US General Douglas MacArthur on February 11.  It was no coincidence that the Constitution was approved on this date because it had been considered to be the founding day since the first known written history and had religious and national significance.

Hello Jack,

thank you for your last email, it was full of awesome jokes as usual. I must share something I experienced yesterday! I don't want to spread any rumours but I am still shocked! Yesterday on my way home from work near Liverpool, just few kilometres before I reached home, I had to stop my car and helped two people. They had problem with the tyre and none of them was able to deal with it. When I came closer, I realised it was my neighbour and some woman. However, it was not his wife!!! H

A day with my son

I long to see my son, to experience life through a 7 year olds eyes. The world is truly a wonderful place through his eyes, as far as the eye can see, never ending horizons, there is no concept of distance, just adventure, wonder, and simplicity. We as adults tend to over complicate things.

My son and I go on many adventures without even leaving the house; imagination is truly a wonderful thing.  In my yard we are great explorers seeking out rare and endangered animals in unchartered parts of t
