I am back

Helloo

I have not been writing my blog for two years since my last update was 2014. I am thinking I should write a bit to brush up my English writing.

I am taking an ESL class every Mondays and Wednesdays. I have been studying for properly two months. There are eight students including me. Yesterday I learnt about using Present Perfect and Simple past. I am still confused with these tenses, but I will review them again on the weekend.

If you have time, Could you please help correct my article here?

<-- OR -->?

Take a look at this picture. Can you tell which way the bus (Okay, it's nothing like a bus, just work with me!) is going? Right or left? I know what you're thinking, "Are you kidding me? How would I know? You're being ridiculous!"

Seriously, look again. Nothing, huh? o.O

This question was asked to a bunch of preschoolers in the U.S. With the exact picture. 90% of them voted for left. When asked why they said, "Because you can't see the door to get on t

Running Towards Happiness

At the start of 2016, I said to myself to take simple things in life and be happy. I never thought that it will involve changing my life style. I never thought that I could find happiness in running and hiking too.

Like many women, I always bemoaned about my weight, while chugging down a lot of yummy food. Diet is just a fancy word, more like a myth rather than a reality. After my surgery last year, exercises are too few and far in between. Don't get me wrong. I'm not obese, though I'm not at my

THE SWEETEST THING.

In my country, we have a song like that : (it’s very interesting but with my level, I’m sure that I can’t translate it as well as itself)

Thanks God, every morning I wake up

I have another thing that I love

In our life, we meet so many things and here, I throw away the worst things. I am talking about these sweet things. Hope, it will make your day brighter.

The sweet thing is : every day, when I cook some food for my kids, I receive  long kisses from them and they never forget to giv

We can miss the words like  snow, sleet, hail, rain and freezing in our weather reports. Finally Spring arrived. No winter lasts for ever. March 1st is the first day of spring.

Those tiny miracles...

A "Wake up, you're gonna be late. Again!" from your mother,

a slight kick from her when you want to sleep for five more minutes,

a good morning kiss from her when you say, "Ouch! I'm up, I'm up, I'm up.",

a manly hug from your father,

a sigh of relief from you which means that he's got your back; no matter what,

a baby's laughter in a crowded subway,

a secret handshake with your best bud that was cool once you invented it, but it was awfully weird for others, (the handshake is still cool for you two,

The situation

There are five houses in five different colors in a row. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The five owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage. Other facts:

  1. The Brit lives in the red house.
  2. The owner living in the center house drinks milk.
  3. The Spanish keeps a dog as pet.
  4. The Japanese smokes “Parliament”.
  5. The Norwegian lives

Latin abbreviations

As a lot of you know the Latin people occupied Great Britain for centuries. So then a lot of people spoke Latin and a lot of prest words in English come from Latin. For example, "street" comes from "strata", which means "camp". Then there are alot of English words which are Latin forms. Especially in medicine, there are a lot of them, like "pneumonia, bronchitis, thyroid, penis, appendicitis", and so on. As well as, words like "album, pendulum, addendum, auditorium", etc.

My dear friends! I managed to get sick and to lose my voice a few days ago. So, if I can't teach either my students or my band, I decided to teach you some American and British sayings, idioms and proverbs. My idea is the following. First, I will post a few expressions with the examples asking you to explain what they mean. I'd like to say there are so many English idioms that you can't know them all! So, the idea of speaking/listening any foreign language well is to be able to understand the ge

I am Happy

I am happy

Life is short

But I am happy

I am happy to work

I am happy in rest

I have no vehicle to travel

But I am happy

To walk by feet

If nobody with me

I am happy alone

If someone angry on me

I am happy with that aggration

The past has been gone

I am happy with the memories in the past

Future will come

But I am happy to wait the future

My life is full of happiness

Life is short

I am happy

I will be happy

I will stay happy

Because I am happy with my attitude to be happy

Stay happy

My friend's little daughter stayed with me on her term holidays last week. She was playing with the train tracks I noticed she is only making circle shapes with the tracks, she took my note book and drew hundreds of circles, she was pointing the clock and shouts 'look circle', she came with few dresses all of them with spots (circles), Stayed near the washing machine to watch its go round and round, I took her to the park near home, she simply running around making circles around the tree, she t

Are You on the Horn of Dilemmas?

Do you know what's to be on the horn of dilemmas? If you don't, know it's preferable not to be on the horn of dilemmas. The expression on the horn of dilemmas is an idiom and means:

a)"faced with two equally undesirable alternatives";

b)"unable to decide between two things because either could bring bad results ";

c)"having to decide between two things, people, etc".

Probably, you're on the horn of dilemmas when you have too much homework to do and at the same time you have to do washing up.
